I am cautiously keeping a very close eye still. He really wants to play hard with his Hedgies, but I keep telling him that he has to wait a few more days yet! Poor fella, even drugged up to the nines he’s wanting to be his hoppy self... I know he’s feeling better now!

Hi Jackie,
Stewie is doing fabulous! He is pretty much back to his normal self again, thank goodness! I still have him on a low dose of Gabapentin (now down to 300mg per day), as per Dr. Laurie and he went for his acupuncture/ortho-bionomy on Wednesday and it made him feel like a million bucks. I also had a spa treatment with him, we both slept like logs that night! We are both going every week for a while. Hopefully this will hold Stewie through until the spring when I can take him to a chiropractor in the big city.
Hehehehe! Yeah, as I am a volunteer for our local animal care group (P.A.L.S.) and in assisting with a stray cat, including the trapping, the transport & pick up to & from the vets for neutering and a general check up, plus the placement into a foster family. (not mine at the time...!) I thought All was well, but within a day The said stray kitty pulled a Houdini trick that went very bad for him and so at the earliest of opportunities, Paul & I ran to his rescue!
Now, I had never intended to have more than two kitties in the house, but.... I joined facebooger....! First, i spotted Miss Lily.... then I saw our new friend ‘Ted’! He is with us for evaluation and rehabilitation into a home. He has proven to be one very cool McCool! He has only been with us a couple of days and is already to move in!!! We shall see if I am supposed to have a fourth kitty in the house!!! OMC! I think I’m turning into the crazy cat lady!
Stewie is getting tons of extra lovin, as he feels a little dogged out right now! He is very curious as to what is behind door number 3 and it will be interesting to see how Ted reacts when we put the screen door up?! Hopefully he has lived with cats before...?

Awww, that is great news 🙂 Glad Stewie made it over the worst part. You and he deserve your spa treatments, it sure beats being uncomfortable! Is Ted feral or just afraid? Sounds like no matter where he ends up it should be in the home of somebody that is a real cat person, got a picture????? You know we need pictures now 
The Prince is doing really well! He has taken over like he has always lived here. Oscar is adjusting, Andy is dealing with an unfavorable bladder right now, but we are working on getting him back to his normal self. Love to all

Thank you! We were all incredibly relieved to see Stewie making small improvements everyday, we kept him from his most adored Hedgies for as long as we could and then he said “enough already.... I really am feeling feeling better!!! “ However..... because there is a new kitty in the house, he DOES have a lot to say about that! You’ll be happy to know Sally that Stewie had lots of extra treats and was thinking of you and Frankie too! Frankie is sooooo floppably Handsome Sally! Those EARS! I just want to snuggle right into them!
Stewie is soaking up all of the extra attention he is getting, but I’m sure he will try to tell you that he is starving and wants to run away ‘cause he’s being replaced, but we all know that there is NO replacing our Stewie boy!

Bahahaha! I meant to go back and correct that, but it was already too late, but I wanted to change it to door number 4 ‘cause we now have 4 cats in the house! And don’t get me wrong Sally, I adore cats and have had them in my life for as long as I can remember, but 4 Sally!!! I’m like the crazy cat lady now! And Nooooooo! I can’t open any more doors Sally!!!
We aren’t even sure this big boy can stay. We still have “Ted” (see we’ve already named the loveable big teddy bear!) behind closed doors. We are a ‘foster’ home right now and want to hope for the long term, but let’s face it, I can’t love them all if they’re not all getting along! Ted can’t stay locked in the room forever. He’s too big a spirit for that!

Awww thank you! If it was really up to me, I would still only have two cats and a very spoilt Stewie... as it stands, the cats seemed to have chosen otherwise and feel like we have yet enough more love to share! Very exciting days! At least Paul and I are head over heals in love!

Yes, I agree, I have no doubt that Stewie will be a purrrrrfect gentleman! I can assure you that relief has been soaring through this house! I know that if Stewie had not been on the mend and feeling Hoppy again, we would definitely not have accepted a foster into an already stressed out home! The Universe works in funny ways sometimes!
Thanks for keeping an eye on our boy! He’s still getting lots of belly rubs and massages!
