Hi , everybody !

Ben was using ramp before surgery for a long time--- this never being a problem ! Actually  when we bought a ramp--- he was the first one who learned in one day !!!

Now after amputation  to GO UP  on ramp--- impossible, go down --fine. And i can't pick him up , so to go to park is possible only in the evening hours when my husband is home.

I was thinking maybe to glue something on ramp to make more sturdy.

Any suggestions?

Hey there! So I see that Ben is missing a front leg. Usually front leggers have an easier time going up than down, so this is unusual. I'm wondering, what is the pitch of the ramp? Is it really steep? And have you tried using treats?

You may need to retain him just like it's brand new to him. Remember, everything is different when that leg goes away. What was once easier may be more challenging now, but he will get there. Here's a blog post about how you can help him re-learn the ramp.

Have you got a ruffwear harness ?

If not, this could be the answer as it has a handle so you can help Ben going up without too much effort.

You'll find it in the gear blog here at tripawds.

Best of luck sweetie pie 😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
