Were we crazy to take Paris with us?! It seemed like a really good idea, but there were concerns about the altitude and what problems that may mean to her with lung mets. We got a blessing on the trip from Dr. Pam and our vet at home, Dr. Terry. The biggest issue might be tiring more easily, but that it would be great for her spirits to be with us on a 2 week trip to Colorado. We had the honor of meeting up with Wyatt Ray, Rene & Jim in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Paris meets Rene, greeting her with lots of licks………..
Paris and Wyatt Ray greet each other dressed in their Tripawd bandanas!
He is such a handsome boy……..
Wyatt Ray Dawg, Rene & Jim, Thanks for all you do and for the great visit!! It was wonderful to meet you!
We had a wonderful trip. Paris did great, she got to do and go on so many adventures and went to visit friends and family. Now that we are home in northern Indiana she is looking at me….like where are we going…… what are we gonna do today……where is the excitement??!! It is hard to believe, but Paris will celebrate her 10 month ampuversary on 11-5-09. We are so blessed!!
Grateful for every moment we had with Paris…..no regrets!

I really enjoyed watching your You Tube videos of Paris, Wyatt and friends… Wish I could have been there with Jake too! Looks like you all had a great time… How old is Paris?

Gineej & Paris,
Great photos and even better idea to take Paris along. Cherry has always loved to take her trip no matter how long or short. I will always remember her as a puppy jumping with joy, running to the car, and promptly vomiting just after the first turn. This extreme car sickness has long since disappeared, so we can just smile when remembering.
You were justified regarding the altitude issue. I have been told by my sister, who is an MD, that after chemotherapy the lungs do not have the same capacity as before chemotherapy. She was realy worried about Cherry this summer as we went to Yellowstone for our annual month long trip. Nearly all of her time was spent in West Yellowsont which is at 6650ft but she did make trips to the Upper Geyser Basis which is 7350ft. Luckily, she never showed any problems with the altitude, but then too, we have no reason to believe that she has developed lung mets.
Again, enjoyed hearing about the visit and that Cherry is no the only one who loves to travel.

It looks like you had so much fun! I think even if Paris did get tired a little more quickly I think it is great that she was able to take the trip.
