THANK GOODNESS!!!! That is great news Sally,  I know each of these days passed probably feels like a week each. Such an awful stress. ((((((HUGGGGGGGSSSSS)))))) definitely a step in the right direction, yeah.. pun intended. Hannah was probably making it thunder up there jumping up and down on the bridge tellin' Frankie to quit being such a boy! All the other angels were chiming in with her. being the biggest and loudest of cheerleaders! Amen.

Yay Sally that is awesome news.  We knew he could do it.  Just takes a little time for some dogs and he is doing it.  🙂   You have got this under control.  What we say is a Christmas time Miracle for you 😉  So you don't have to worry so much.

Chocolate and ice cream all around

The leg dropping is fantastic news! The couch-staking is fantastic news! (Of course, you realise his true motivation. He wants to slouch on the couch and watch his video...)

Frankie is progressing and he will continue to improve. He is such a strong and determined dog, and he has you and Merry Myrtle on his team... or rather on his couch. Still no phone/internet here, but just popped into the library to check up on Frankie and am really delighted to see this update.

Big hugs to all of you.

Alright, just a little clarification.  His leg dropped just a kittle while he peed and then it was hiked back up rucked tight .   It's still a VICTORY, to see that leg lengthen out a @little if only for a few sexonds.

The cheering sauad was heard loud and clear and soooo appreciated!! 🙂 🙂

Of course, the Vet is out of town this week (and a well xeserved break).' So o e of the others will call back.

And yes Clare, he associates the couch with watching the AWARD WINNING VIDEO OF HIS CUTE COOL DAWG SELF!!

Kare , like all of you gave me some great tips and reassurance.  Her experiences with THE PUGS is book worthy!! 🙂  She reminded me that with a Tripawd like Fra kie this recovery is like amp for him a d he has to readjust everything again.  Of course his two legs are getting weaker while he asjusts.   Right now I'm gonna work on massaging his other two legs and doing gentle stretchers and trying to get them to hold up a little better.  CANNOT let them get any weaker.

Another reminder was to make sure he walks SLOWLY a d he might be more prone to test the grou d with his paw then.    Of course, with a two legged trilawd who needs a crazy amou t of speed for balance, that's been al ost impossible so far 🙂   Worki g on it though!!

Sendw everyo e my @ove a d appreciation a d A@WAYS wishing the best for each of youheart

That is still WONDERFUL news!!! I know you want to see this all done yesterday but you are MAKING PROGRESS!!!!!  The fact that he lowered his leg and then tucked it up tight SHOWS that it is not frozen! It is tender, knees are tough stuff. Massaging his good legs while you put a warm facecloth can help 2 ways at once. You can also try like a hydrotherapy, take a wet towel and microwave it until its good and warm but not enough to burn. Fold it and wrap it in a larger dry towel and gently place it on his bad leg. It stays warmer longer and somehow seems to get deeper into the sore spots. I think they called it hydrotherapy. I actually had that done to me when I hurt my back and OMG if felt wonderful!  It might save you from going back and forth so much trying to keep the wet cloth warm. You can do the same for his good legs to baby them, warm on one, massage on the other.

I know you don't see it but you are coming along really well! It probably feels like slow motion to you, but I see pawsitive things happening here heart

Big hugs and smooches to the pups heartheart

Hehehehe.... I think admin will be rolling his eye’s...  putting his head in his paws and is wishing that emojis were never designed!!! 😩You and Euridice are top dawgs on emojis use! 😂🤣clap

Jackie, I don’t want to question the therapy you may have had, but I just looked up “hydrotherapy for dogs” and I know your intent is great but I don’t think people should be confused by the warming of a towel with “hydrotherapy for dogs”. I’m sorry, I only did some volunteer work at a vets some years back, and I had and still do hear quite a few good things about hydrotherapy. Please correct me if I’m wrong because I certainly wouldn’t want to mislead anyone with my minimal amount of knowledge. Maybe Sally can ask her vet about the kind of therapy your talking about, it might be really good consideration for Frankie in the future.

hugs to your Prince and his purring pals!heart

“Hydrotherapy uses the properties of water — buoyancy, viscosity, resistance, and hydrostatic pressure — to enable a dog (or human) to move her joints. ... Hydrotherapy may be especially beneficial for dogs who suffer from arthritis due to old age; the warm water helps reduce joint swelling, another benefit.”

Hydrocollator moist heat therapy !! Ooops, so sorry! I didn't mean swimming lol.. long few days I guess. Microwaving the damp towel and wrapping it in the dry towel mimics the equipment used for that therapy. Swimming is great therapy too, but I think we got the wrong time of year here and the "Y" probably would frown on bringing our pups in to swim laughinglaughing
