Hi everybody,

I have a bit of a problem ...

Eurydice (the horse) needs to wear booties when out in the park and I checked ruff wear booties which are great but ... far too small for my girl ...

Her back paws' width is 3 inch and her front paw is 4 inch, I called ruff wear and the biggest they've got is 3.25 inch so far too small...

Are there any other good quality manufacturers catering for big girls ????

Does anybody know whether I could have them custom made?

I have to get them delivered in the UK so I want to make sure whichever firm that could help me with this will also be able to ship abroad (if it is and American firm)

Thank you so much for your help !

Sending you all a big hug and cuddles to your fluffies heart

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

I was reading your post about the size of her front paw, and looking at the size of my hand.  Wow!

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

And how big are Otis & Tess's paws?  lol

My Murphy is downright petite next to all these giant dogs!

Otis' is not small, but it almost fits in the palm of my hand.  He leaves great tracks in the snow - we jokingly call them wolf tracks.   Not sure if the 3.25 inch boogie would work, but also thinking that he wouldn't be caught dead in booties.  He would probably remove and shred them to make his opinion known.

UltraPaws makes one that fits my Mastiff Julian although I had to make a small cut in the front feet booties so his dewclaw would fit.  I do not know his measurements but he weighs 230 pounds.

Hi there Donna and Otis Mom heart yes, my girl is a bit oversized for a dog ... always difficult to find the right size for her laughing

I even had to change my car as she eventually grew too big to go in the boot ...

It was laughable to choose another as car salesmen kept on recommending "big" boots but they were all too small.

Eventually, I took her with me and we found onelaughing

Living in London I didn't want a big truck and finally settled for a little jeepy kind of car ...

Sending you a big hug and cuddles to your fluffies heart

Hi Pam heart

Thank you so much for the recommendation, I already had a look at their website and hurrah !!! their biggest size is 4 inches so, problem solved !

I contacted the one Jerry recommended too, but they normally don't ship abroad and would do it in this case but price for shipping is $35 so much better to be able to order from Amazon here as they stock Ultrapaws booties (next day delivery too!).

Sadly, her paw isn't as great as it should be, we are finishing the 16 day course antibiotic tomorrow and will see the vet again on Monday.

It just seems from now on, she will have to wear her boots for any walks in the park to protect herself from foreign bodies causing infection again.

Sending you a big hug and cuddles to Julian (230 pounds is quite an impressive weight!)heart

Let us know how Ultrapaws work for Eurydice. Here's a link to order them through the Tripawds Amazon blog !

That is just silly about the other manufacturer. Thanks for letting me know about that. Well too bad, their loss.

Hi Jerry heart

I really wish I could get those booties through Tripawds Amazon ...

I just went on the website, chose the booties (the ones above), got all details in (payment in GBP) and the order summary was GBP 30.08 for the booties and GBP 54.69 for shipping and handling ...

I can't get over the cost of shipping ...

Just ordered the booties from Amazon UK, we will get them tomorrow and delivery is free.

Wish I could help Tripawds here, would it be possible for you to negotiate with Amazon UK?

I am sure there are a lot of Tripawd Pawrents living here and we would be really happy to help!

Sending you a big hug and cuddles to Wyatt heart

... sorry again for not being able to help you guys through the booties purchase ...

I am laughed no about your car comment.  I just got an SUV for my new company car.  The dogs are never allowed in the company car - must be kept pristine.  I took it to show a friend and the first thing he said was that the back was big enough for Otis.

Aww you're so sweet, thanks for trying!

No worries, I'm just happy Eurydice will have some nice boots. Once you get them we'd love to see a review about how they work for her. That's a huge help!
