patience is so hard!!!!!!! I was told I would have to measure my progress in months not weeks. And that nerves might not heal at all. And i progressed really fast at first, so when i step back (ha, I made a pun) and be patient I know I'm probably healing well even though it's not as noticeable now. But it is a good reminder to me that I need to slow down ... asking for help though....grrr.... I hate asking for help. Cora and I are two peas in a pod.

Speaking of Cora, she is doing sooooo much better. I am so pleased. Wouldn't it be great if she just tweaked something? This morning when I was getting ready to go to work she showed up in the bathroom to pester me and I realized she hadn't done that for a while. And after I got home and let her out and then went to let her in, she wagged her tail at me and when I let her in she rushed to her food bowl. Woo hoo. I am so relieved. I wish I knew what was hurting her, but since the only thing that's changed is the metacam I have to think it is pain related.

With her special issues I always worry about deeper issues too, when she struggles. She was born with so much stacked against her and I do suspect she has minor seizures at times. Hard to say, but given how she's perked up I think it's something muscular-skeletal. Having spent the last 6 weeks home with her, I have been thinking about rehab and how to help her (hence the boot facebook post a bit ago) and I would like to have her see a rehab vet again. So much has changed since she was that tiny baby who could barely walk and was not particularly cooperative.

But anyway, back to the big point... did I mention Cora is acting happier??? Did I? Did I? 🙂

You DID mention Cora is better! Yiu di, oh yes you did!! And we could hear that all day and we still would want to hear it agai !!clap

The parallels between you and Cora on so many levels are astonishing! Just look at the "recovery" aspect. You understand that so much of Cora's progress is two steps forward, one back, it's about you naving EXTREME patience with Cora! You two are the most unbelievable team flr each other. The lkfe lessons, OMD!!! This match was written in the stars long before either of you jumped into your earth clothes!way-cool

Looks like the Universe is still working on helping you to learn to reach out to otners for support! ' Better for you to master that little hurdle right now or the Universe will keep giving you "situations" to MAKE you reach out! That Universe is a lersp fella'!

Hearing how well Cora is dling, how she's wagging ner tail, picking up some of ner routines, GRRRRRREAT. NEWS!!!

Wasn't able to see the video, not a facebooger. But I know kt was xute!!

YAAAAAAAAAY FOR TEAM CORA!!! 🙂

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

You guys are all great. And Sally, you have such a kind heart.

I would say Cora is doing even better today although she did have a slight mishap...hahahha

I now lock Cora in the bedroom when I go to work.  Neither Cora or Floyd are thrilled with being kenneled so I would rather let them wander when I work. Ok, slight understatement when it comes to Floyd, who flat out panics when he gets locked up. However if they both roam about the house, when I come home chaos ensues. Floyd feels it is necessary to run over to Cora and bark in her face, to announce I am home. He often also runs up to the cats and barks at them. Now, this may surprise you but the cats and Cora no not appreciate this. Cora often complains. This gets Floyd more excited. Now he needs to run around even more and bark without pause. Cora begins to complain more loudly and get anxious. Floyd then feels it's necessary to bounce off the door, bounce off the couch, bark in Cora's face, jump up and down and tell the world that everything is ok and that I AM HOME. At which point Cora has a full meltdown and I come rushing in the door trying to comfort Cora, send Floyd out and not lose my mind. So, Cora goes into the bedroom. And since I've been doing that, Floyd rarely even barks when I'm home.

Now, Cora being in the bedroom means she can't access the usual water dish. I plan to make a facebook post about Cora and water dishes. They exert a magnetic-like pull on her. There is no water dish she can't knock over, spill or somehow create wet mayhem. So, I go big. A large water dish is probably not going to get knocked over. So today, I get to the bedroom door and I hear a thump. As I open the door I think I hear the sound of a small waterfall. Hmmm.... As the door open's further I see a very wet floor and then... I see Cora with water streaming off her butt. Apparently the dish was so large she could sit in it. Apparently she managed to soak up quite a bit of water with her scrawny little hiney. I am not sure she was pleased with my amusement.

OH my gosh.  I am chuckling so hard at that last picture of Cora sitting in the water dish LOL.

I understand the excitement barking in the face etc.  Jasmine & Snickers do that to Bosch sometimes.  He doesn't care for it a lot of the times.

I like the idea of locking them away from each other but they get to be out & about.  Keeps Floyd calm and Cora calm too 🙂

Oh Topher! LMAO! The ritu of Floyd and Cora are hilarious!! Well, maybe to Floyd he's hilarious...maybe not so much to you and Cora!winker

It's xute that Floydis making sure that Cora realizes you are home! I guess he doesn't feel like Cora is getting his "message" so he has to exaggerate his "welcome home" announcement

My Frankie and Floyd sound like they would be great contenders for a "bark off/howling contest"! Like Cora, Merry Myrtle gets a little agitated with his constant vocalizations!

Thanks for the updae AND the great laughdlaughing.

Much Ove!
