Has anyone had success with pain treatment for possible pinched nerve / spondylosis?

Our primary vet does not think Tipper's pain is coming from met sites.

Dr. Petty thinks he can see us tomorrow.

I'm just looking for some stories of hope!

I did not want to get into "extreme measures" with Tipper and the big C. This particular pain is a different thing altogether. I can't let him go on in this much pain. I will not do additional chemo or radiation, etc. I'm not sure that keeping him alive seeking pain relief therapies is any better.

But he's laying here whining. And when I get up to go to him, he hops up and grabs his ball. He wants to go outside with his ball and wait for the dog behind us to come outside. HE CAN'T go chase along the fence today!

So - has anyone had some success with pain relief for arthritis, nerve,  or other pain that is secondary to the cancer?

Hang in there. I know it's hard but you can do it, just one more day. Meanwhile keep him from running along the fence and find some brain games to do together.

There is ALWAYS something you can do to alleviate pain. Dr. Petty is amazing, he will have answers and something that helps. You really are so lucky to be working with him! Give him a hug from Rene, Jim and Wyatt, he's our hero!

Thank you.

Yes, his back yard access is LIMITED today. He's not too happy about it. Sometimes I just need someone to tell me I'm not crazy. People talk about "are you doing this for him or are you doing this for you?" Honestly, it's always for us humans. I don't fool myself about it. In some ways, it is very fortunate that we humans have to power to relieve our fur babies' pain and illness in a way that we don't allow for ourselves. In other ways, it can be burdensome!

What are some brain games we can play?

Because right now we are whining AND panting at the same time, and I'm not sure WHAT to do with that.
