Hi all!

I just bought Pawfriction from the Tripawds store and I'm watching the application video and the dog is standing up to apply it. I'm thinking that will not work on my 3-legged buddy. Has anyone else used it with their pet and had a successful application with them sitting or laying down? Thanks!

I believe there are instructions in the package that explain how to do it while lying down. Have you seen the enclosed info?

We put it on Wyatt while he was lying down. He has big feet so it took us extra time and two of us (one to feed treats, the other to apply) but we managed. Remember, trim paw fur at least the day before so you're not spending extra time messing with his paws. Let us know what works.

I just used the Pawfriction on Nitro last night...using the laying down version. It worked pretty well, and we got to test it today at the vet's office (who's floors are like a skating rink). Dr. Patty noticed right away that his traction was better before I even told her about it. The only draw back for us is our driveway has decorative concrete that is really rough, so I don't think it will last as long as the directions say. I'll be putting it on Kodi too, and I think his will last longer, being that he has a lighter step when walking. 3 paw up from us!

YAY! I'm glad it helped. Let us know what the longevity is on Nitro and Kodi.

Do you have photos of their paws? I love seeing the colored feet!

ok, question to the pros:

will they not try to lick the stuff off?? or even gnaw at their paws because of it? I would love to try it but that aspect scares me a little...

thanks!

Wyatt didn't, and he's pretty fussy about his paws. Like anything it can depend on the dog I guess but if your dog's paws are in good shape already, and they have no history of paw chewing, it's probably not going to bother them.

And even if they did lick or chew it, it is totally non-toxic and medical-grade glue. That was one of my first concerns as well and when I asked the inventor, Dr. Stacey Bone, about it, I was reassured that it's totally safe even if it's ingested some how.

Well, we followed the sprinkle directions in the box for laying down, and I think I got as much of it stuck on  me as I did on him, lol! Had to use nail polish remover. Hopefully I'll get better at it. It's only stayed on for about 3 days before starting to come off. It has rained a TON here this week though, so I'm hopeful it will last longer when it dries up outside! It did what I needed it to do though- provided traction on the vet's slick floors for staple removal day!

Oh gosh I know I got some stuck on me too. It does take practice, and less rain! I'm glad it at least helped when you needed it most. Let us know if practice helps OK

I have a suggestion for applying the glue....use rubber gloves and spread it around with your finger. You get the right amount in the right place. Oh, and ours only stayed on a couple days too, but we have rough concrete. Works great at the let's office!
