Please share my happiness....2 weeks to the day.....

Calamity just jumped up onto the sofa to lay by me!!! No coaxing, she just walked over & thought about how she was going to do it. Up she came & manuvered her body close to me so she could lay her head on my lap! Her favorite spot.

She's here now & wishes I would quit typing & continue rubbing her head, so I will leave you with this happiness and get back to petting my wonder girl!

Yay ... Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

That's great news, just be careful of her jumping down onto her remaining leg too much. We'd hate to hear of her spraining it like Kali the Dobie did.

Yes, that was a worry when she got up to get down....I stayed very calm & talked to her softly telling her to be very careful and move slow. It was as if she understood me & she went down very slowly & gently. I was proud of her.

She has been back to visit me 2 other times tonight, once to lick my soup bowl and another time to lick my ice cream bowl.

I put a dog bed on the floor where she gets down to soften the soft blow as she gets down.

Way to go Calamity!!!  I remember the first time Radar got up on the sofa to cuddle to. It's quite a milestone.

We are SOOO thrilled to hear this wonderful news...it's pretty amazing what we get excited about when our new tripawds start to show they are feeling better. I remember each and every little step of the way with Zeus.

Happy Friday and BIG smooches to you both.

Hi hoomans....

This is Calamity. I have moved on to the sofa now that I feel better, which has always been my favorite place to lay. I love my head in mom's lap because she likes to play with my ears. It feels good when she does that.

Mom likes peanut butter on crackers for a snack & so do I. Well, I don't get crackers, but I sure do get peanut better.

Mom was petting my big cut today & found a shiny thing in it. She made my dad go get this other shiny thing and she took it out. I didn't even feel it!

I also keep my head on mom's laptop to distract her and make her pet and feed me.

I'm a special girl.

Hi Calamity,

Just take it easy getting off and on the sofa .So happy to hear she is adjusting well. I guess no more crate?

Yes, I remember with Buster, the area of the incision will take awhile to completely heal. Is any of her fur starting to grow back yet? It seemed with my Buster it took forever...

That is FANTASTIC!

I love laying on the couch, too... it's a great place to get snuggles!

Wow, we found another staple in Calamity's incision last night!!! What ever happened to count in - count out? I'm fortunate to have a staple remover & can get them out without a trip to the vets!!

She still loves to come to the sofa for her lovin'. She's just our "Super Girl"!
