Raven got his Ruffwear Harness from Emily's Mom (previously Mac's).  It's a smidge too tight in the chest, and cuts in a bit when he lays down.  So, we'll be getting him a Large.  But in the meantime, he seems to have gotten his groove back wearing it.  Big Blink

Raven's favorite toys are stuffy cows that moo.  He's back to his old self.  We got him a new cow stuffy after his surgery and this is the first day he wants to play. Big Grin  But, Mom's dog, stole it.  Even when he had four legs, he knew he couldn't catch her.

So, I got it from her and tossed it again.  This time Old Broad Betty ambushed it.  Betty doesn't even want it.  She just doesn't want Raven to have it.  But, being a "cup is half full" doggy, look at him still wagging his stubby tail.  :)

Victory!  He just loves to make them moo.

Thanks for looking!

Dawn and crew,

Thanks for posting.  Looks as if Raven still has a very great quality of life and isn't that what it is all about.

Awesome!!
My little pug Maggie likes those stuffies that make noise too- although since she has lost some hearing I'm not sure she can tell when she sets them offlaughing

Don't forget … if anyone has pictures or movies of their pups playing with a stuffy Barney, be sure to submit then for the Killbarney blog! :-)

Stuffy dog toys at my house end up very quickly "unstuffy" toys!  Have fun Raven.

Dawn,

Thanks for posting those cute videos of Raven and his gang! Loved watching the tail stub wagging away! Laugh Wolfie used to always steal Jake's stuffed toys from him… even if Jake would finally get pissed and started to growl like a crazy dog, it didn't seem to bother Wolfie… That's why we always had to have a million toys lying around to house for both of them! I swear, if someone that didn't know us stopped by our house, they'd think we had a house filled with kids… not dogs! Laugh

Keep posting those fun videos!!

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

I'm loving these videos and watching all of your dog's antics.  Raven is gorgeous.  I actually started crying a little seeing the same harness Mac wore on such a polar opposite health and recovery wise of what he was in the end, but it was a good cry cause I really am glad for Raven and the other success stories.  I don't think I've seen the moo cow toys in the store…is that just at like PetSmart or Petco?

So I have to say….Old Broad Betty….. Laughing one of the best names I've ever heard.  She definitely fits it to a tee.

Gosh Jacki, I bet that was hard seeing Mac's harness.  :(  Rest assured, even though it's snug, Raven is getting full use of it.  It has been so helpful with the bed, couch, truck, steps.

Raven has had probably 10 stuffy cows that moo.  Mom got one at a local pet store a while back and Raven loves them so much, he breaks the electronic thingy inside, so we are always getting him new ones.  I get them at Petsmart.  They also have monkeys that scream, frogs that ribbit, etc.  But none of them do it for Raven like the cows.  ;-)

We like the gorilla–or maybe it's a monkey.  Mom has to buy them regularly because they don't last long around here.  At Pet Edge (online) they have a gecko with a squeaker at each end–good for tugging.  We have lots of them too.  Well, parts of them.  Somehow, they come apart and the squeakers come out.

Have fun!!  We loved watching you play!
