Our golden doodle had amputation and is now starting to hop around.

Pre-amputation, both he and his sister utilized the doggy door all the time, and it was convenient while we worked.

Post-amputation, we have kept the doggy door blocked and he must stay inside while we are away. Does anyone have experience with bigger dogs and doggy doors for front amputation?

Our initial thought was to try and find the biggest doggy door we could find and place closer to ground level.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I didn't change a thing for my cat Mona, a front leg amputee. She went back to using her cat door once her stitches were out. Mind you she does prefer that the butler opens the patio door for her. big-grin
