Great job Rocky! I am so happy to hear that you hav seen some improvement. Have you ever tried pumpkin? It is supposed to be bulking and help with too loose or too firm poo. It must be magic? Anyway Rusty loves it. Sounds like you may have solved it with the broth. Please give Rocky a big hug.

I blame the broth for giving him the diarrhea, and give Izzy full credit for getting him to eat by whispering in his ear.

He had some soft poop over the weekend, so I started him on the meds to try to completely clear it up.

Unrelated to the K9, he rolled off the bed Sunday morning. I just heard a loud THUMP and Rocky was no longer up there with me. He's OK, but in the course of checking him out, I think I found another tumor on his left side this time. Ugh. At least it's smaller than the ones on his right side.

That Izzy, she was a great snacker! She loved to eat her food, some more food, and a few snacks for good measure. Glad she was able to convince Rocky to "get with the program"! (Sadly, this momma got with her program and put on about 10 pounds last year lol)

I bet you were frightened by Rocky's fall but, for what it's worth, I feel down an entire flight of stairs with all 60 pounds of Her Royal Fatness in my arms. This was just at Easter, so she was already an old lady, but she got right up and hopped away to her bed while I lay there bleeding. Ahhh, memories.

The metronidazole will do the trick. Forgive me for not having the whole story, but the lumps you already knew about - are those what the palladia is treating?

Keep us posted on sweet Rocky ... and I'll keep my fingers crossed that those lumps go away!

There are two lumps on his left side, down near his belly, that his family vet aspirated a few years ago. Those turned out to be just fatty tumors.

In late June, I found two harder lumps on his right side - one near his ribs and one closer to his spine. Those turned out to be his osteosarcoma, so he's on the Palladia for them.

This new one on his left side is higher up, closer to his spine. And it feels harder than the fatty tumors. My guess is it's osteosarcoma as well.

Oh, now that I read this, I remember. (Getting old sucks!) Funny, it's the part about the fatty tumors that reminded me that I'm just dopey and forgot lol

Pet Rocky for me - his coat looks like it's nice and fluffy! - and I'll tell Izzy to whisper to the tumors to F off and die way-cool

Let's hope Izzy's chat with the tumors is as successful as the one with Rocky's stomach. big-grin
