Trouble's diet consists of green beans, carrots, meat & cottage cheese.  Her evening snack is always either 3/4 can beans or carrots and occasionally a couple spoons of cottage cheese. (Duke gets the other 1/4 can!)

We're doing better also.  She woke me up at 1:30, but didn't want out – don't know what that was about.  I told her to lay down and go back to sleep and she did.  Again at 3:30, same thing.  When she woke up at 4:30 I got up and fed her.  Not having a snack in the middle of the night is a MAJOR accomplishment for us!

Just wanted to post an update – the green beans seem to be doing the trick long-term…..pretty much all by themselves, too. I cut out the meat and mix in a teeny, tiny amount of kibble with about 3/4 can of green beans, and we've pretty much eliminated the 4a potty breaks (which I think were just hunger all along), and Zack is sleeping mostly until 5:30 or 6:00 before whining for breakfast.

I have yet to try the Power Mushrooms, but will probably start them soon. Even though not needed to curb hunger, it certainly sounds like there are many other benefits. And, as Zack is only 2 weeks shy of his 14th bday, we'll take whatever we can get in the overall health department.

Zack, King of Dogs, 1996 to 2010 Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end. The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime. Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd. And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.

That's great news Zack!  A round of green beans for everyone!

I'm starting to think that when our pups turn 70-ish in human years all they want to do is eat!  Comet seems so much more hungry with age.  She's always been a piggy but now she gets really mad about not getting a big belly full.  She never had a weight problem until this past year. And she is 3-5lbs overweight. (she's 12-ish years old and now 41lbs)

She departed us unexpectedly  January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Just like us humans – after a certain age, we care less about a couple extra pounds (hee, hee)

Sleep and eat!  (I'm sorta getting that way and I'm not geriatric!)

I think Comet would be in heaven if I would wake her and feed her in her bed and let her go back to napping!  Maybe throw in a car ride once in awhile and she'd be in doggie heaven!
