Cry  Oh Heidi, my heart is truly aching right now for you.  Titan IS with you in spirit.  He DID send you that song because he wants you to KNOW that even though his vehicle (his body) broke down, his soul will always be with you when you need him.  I know it's not the same as actually cuddling with him and being couch potatoes together but please know that he IS with you and he will always love you with all of his heart.

That song gave me the chills when I read it.  I am going to copy the lyrics and put it into my own "healing file" for the future.  Thank you Heidi and please know that your tripawd family is sending you lots of love and warm healing hugs.

Heidi, that is beautiful, thank you for sharing those lyrics with us.

You're right, it was a sign from Titan. I leave those signs all the time for my pawrents. Just this morning, Mom was fishing under the bed for something, and accidentally bumped one of my talking Barney dolls. He started singing to her, and made her soooo happy. When I first passed, that would've made her bawl like a baby. But today, she smiled because she knew that I am still with her.

You will learn to love those signs too, and they wil soon bring a smile to your face instead of sadness in your heart. Until then, allow yourself the space to feel these emotions, it's perfectly sane and normal. Anytime you want to share, we are here for you.

P.S. Just a suggestion, but maybe when you're missing Titan's couch cuddling sessions, grab one of his toys and snuggle up to it. Take a sec and just love the memories of him playing with those toys, and embrace all that he gave to you through the years.

It helps my Mom to do that. Sometimes she even sleeps with my sweater under her pillow. It always brings sweet dreams to her.

Many, many hugs.

It's these little things that help heal. We just returned from the TV Critics Press Conference for the Nature show. Jerry was on stage with us. Well … OK, it was his collar on his tripawd toy. But he WAS there with us. Stay tuned for the blog post.

Oh Heidi, I am soooooo sorry to hear of Titan's passing. I am in tears now after reading about that song, tears of sadness but also of joy because I just KNOW that it was a sign from Titan. Watch for him in the days ahead, it will amaze you how many times you will see little signs. He will always be with you!! I have lost more than one loved one, canine and human, and it is just astounding how they send us signs like that. I know his toys and things will bring you comfort in the days ahead. They always tell us that our dogs will clearly let us know when it is "time", I think the blessing here is that you "knew", and that Titan didn't suffer long, although I am so shocked and saddened that it happened so quickly.

As I have told you before, Titan was truly our giant breed inspiration. I have been praying for him constantly since I heard things were not well, and I will continue to pray for comfort, peace, and healing for you in the days ahead.

Heidi,

Our prayers are with you tonight.  Titan will always be with you we are sure.  When we lost Bonnie's dad I thought that it would be much easier if my heart would really break.  Then it would not hurt as much.  It does not break and WILL heal with Titan's spirits help.  Love and kisses from both of us.  You will be in our thought tonight so that hug you feel is from us.

Dearest Heidi,

This is devastating news.  Thank you for sharing the lyrics of that beautiful song and I agree that it was a "sign" from Titan.  This just seems so sudden and it's very hard to process.  Our thoughts are with you.

Heidi,

Such an old & beautiful song! I remember that song well as I listened to it resonating on the hills as our boat was anchored in the Lake of the Ozarks, many years ago. I had forgotten how beautiful it is!

I know Titan will always be with you.

Heidi – am thinking of you as you are dealing with the loss of Titan.  I am going through it as well – my 4 year old lab Jack was set free on 12/27.  Just trying to take it a day at a time and remember all the lessons he taught me.  This pain is worth having though – wouldn't trade it for not having had him in my life.

Dear Heidi,

I was away from the site for awhile, and was shocked to return and learn of Titan's death.

I am so very very sorry.

He was a lucky boy to have the family he did.

Big hugs,

Christine & Sophie

Thank you all for your support. It has been one month from today since we said goodbye to Titan. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. It will be 6 years ago from February 10th that we brought Titan home. He will forever be in our hearts.

Heidi, you are in our hearts and thoughts tonight. Titan will forever be in our hearts as well. We send our love, and know that Titan is proud of you for making it through the darkest days of grief (Jerry told us so). You are an awesome dog Mom. Many hugs.
