We are so sad to report that Achilles, our Great Pyrenees friend who was fighting so hard to recover from amputation, passed away today.

AchillesOur hearts to go out to his family, we are so very sorry.

It's a devastating loss to this community when a family takes a leap of faith to go forward with amputation, and things go wrong. We all grieve for this great boy who never got the chance to live life to the fullest as a Tripawd.

It's better to hop on three legs than to limp on four.™

It is particularly heartbreaking when they never really get their second chance.  I know how I would feel if something had happened to Trouble in the very early days.  As hard as it is, we must always remember things happen for a reason, even if we don't always know what that reason is.

My heart is with Achilles family.

RIP Achilles.  Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

My heart goes out to you.  I am so sorry for your loss.  You are in our thoughts and prayers and wishing you much peace and strength during this very difficult time.

Kami, Mackenzie & Kobe

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!
