Indiana, the most loveable Siberian Husky, is my soul dog and has been beating the odds against osteosarcoma for almost 17 months. He was cancer-free, as far as we knew, for one year. At his one-year check up in January, we found out his cancer returned to his lungs and he was given only a few weeks…(We were so devastated once again! ) Here it is almost 5 months later and we still have him by our sides to embrace & love… He has had a month full of ups & downs and he has given us a few scares.  He started this month off with 3 really good days! Our miracle dog never ceases to amaze us. It has inspired me to write and I will continue to write as it is my passion along with my tripawd! Come visit Indy's Tripawds Blog ~ Indiana's Love!

Sharing a poem I wrote as I sat by my Indiana the other day… the love of my life….as I pray he continues to beat he odds xoxo

May you find comfort in reading this…may you all hope for a miracle..because they do happen – no matter how big or small they are – embrace every moment xo

 As I sit by  your side

As I sit by your side, day after day

Embracing your love, and hoping you’ll stay…

I think of your life and how blessed we are

You are so amazing, our shining star…

I see you getting tired, I miss when we play

But all I wish, is to have one more day…

One more day of Indy kisses, and happy songs that you sing

One more day of your love, and such joy that you bring…

I hold on so tight, with tears in my eyes

I am not ready, to say our final goodbyes…

As I sit by your side, I pray and pray

For you to feel good, and to stay another day…

Carol…. what a beautiful poem and so fitting of your beautiful boy Indy! Isnt it amazing the level of love that is found through the hearts of the creatures we have chosen to call  ANIMALS…. animals! I think not – angels maybe – animals no..

Thank you for your kind words! I am touched by all of you! My Indiana touches my soul with so much love! The love we have for our tripawds is above and beyond love!

*1/14/10 Indiana was first diagnosed…1/28/10 his front left limb was removed….1/19/11 we found out the cancer was in his lungs….

and…6/20/11 is Indy's 10th birthday!!!!
