I write this with sobs and tears...we just said goodbye to our Golden Tripawd Molly.  I'm in shock and full of sorrow questioning what more I could have done, it was too quick and unexpected.  Our loving vets were able to drain enough fluid so she could breathe a little easier as we said our goodbye's.

Run easy Mollydog...you will be missed by your pack Bella, Juicee, Porscha and Yogi.

Oh no! I'm so very, very sorry to hear about Molly, it's so devastating when this moment arrives and no matter how much we think we are prepared, we are never truly ready to say goodbye. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that Molly had quality time with you during her remaining time. No dog could ask for more.

Please come back and share her life with us here, we'd love to see photos and celebrate the many great memories you created together. Our deepest condolences go out to you all.

I am so sorry for this happening so quickly and so heartbroken for your loss of sweet Molly.....Sometimes it just happens this way and there is nothing we can do to slow it down, believe me, I know what you are going through. I know the pain is unbearable and so hard to breath, and please do not question anything you have done or didn't do, we know in our hearts that we gave them every possible chance at a happy, quality life once we get the awful diagnosis. I know the additional pain of the guilt we ask ourselves, did we do enough? The answer is an absolute yes. This journey is a hard one, and one we go into without reservation to help our beloved pets, that in itself shows we have their best interest at heart, and nothing we do is wrong or not enough. Molly knows how much you loved her, and that is what mattered most to her, that you gave her constant love and care she deserved.

We are all here for you, and like Jerry said, maybe you will be able to share your memories of Molly with stories and pictures, but I can also say that she will always be remembered here.

Keeping you in my thoughts, and sending {{{hugs}}}

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

My Dear Nicole and Family,

This is so heartbreaking to hear. We all cry with you tonight and our hearts ache with yoh and for you. I'm very, very saddened that you had to help Molly transition out of her earth clothes today. Her energy is now free from a body that no onger serves her. You gave her the gift of release...a gift that comes from a selfless love, a pure and selfless love.

Please do not beat yourself up with second guessing anything! This is a vicious and brutal diseaw that makes up it's own rules and does what it wants when it wants. We can only do the best that medicine and research have to offer...and you did that.

Bonnie said it very well."......did we do enough? The answer is an absolute yes. This journey is a hard one, and one we go into without reservation to help our beloved pets, that in itself shows we have their best interest at heart, and nothing we do is wrong or not enough."

And you were able to give Molly some more comfortable time before she transitioned. You will find peace in that. You will find peace in knowing you gave Molly the best chance possible and you gave her more spoiling and loving these past months than you ever knew was possible. And in dog years, these past five months equate to three additional years bonus tummy rubs, smooches and ear scratches.

Right now, this is painful beyond words. You feel like you are suffocating with grief and it will never end. Unfortunately, it will get worse. The void, the silence, not having the routine of being a caregiver to your beloved Molly are all part of the feelings kf loss that will break your heart over and over.

You lean on us, okay? We understand like no others can. We also understand that evenutally, ever so slowly, happy memories of Molly will start to glive your broken heart back together again, piece by piece. Nothing can ever break your bond with Molly!! As Jerry always reminds us, these last few days are just a blink of an eye compared to the thousands and thousands of happy days and joyful memories. These are the days Molly wants you to remember.

Can you close your eyes right now and think of one memory that made you smike...or even laugh? Something that Molly did, or a certain look she gave you that made you laugh. Molly lokes it when you smile.

Please stay connected. Please let us be here with you. We can offer no words to make the pain go away, we can only offer comfort and first hand understanding and to be here with you. Molly's life mattered.

MOLLY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN HERE! She touched us all and we will always hold her...and you...in our hearts.

Sending love and surrounding you in Molly's eternal grace

This is such sad news. You did everything you could to make Molly pain free and to give her the best life you could. She knew she was well loved. Although you're in deep sorrow now, please trust that in time you only have warm, joyful memories of Mollydog who'll always have a special place in your hearts.

I'm so sorry. I know that it hurts right now. The word heartache is really true---it makes your heart ache. But you showed Molly you loved her and you were there as her pain finally went away. I hope that can give you a little comfort.

Denise, Bill and Ellie.

Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise

I am truly sorry to hear about Molly. Don't question yourself, though. I know from our too recent loss that it doesn't help to do that. Just picture her at the Bridge, running free, healthy and happy. You know that you did the best for Molly and she would thank you for the love, the life and the decision.

Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

I am SO sorry to hear about Molly.  Please try not to second guess yourself...Molly knows you did everything within your power to help her.  I am certain my Golden, Eddy, was waiting for her at the bridge...with a baseball or tennis ball!

Your journey resembles ours...Eddy lived 5 and a half months after his diagnosis, and five months almost to the day after his amputation.  Not long enough!  Please be easy on yourself and allow yourself to grieve.  Your Tripawds community is grieving with you.  I am so sorry for your loss.

Love and peace,

Betsy

Betsy Golden and Angel, Eddy.  Eddy was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 7-23-14, had a left rear amputation 8-07-14, had 3 rounds of carboplatin chemotherapy,  a small lung met was discovered in October, had 2 rounds of doxorubicin, and unfortunately more lung mets were discovered.  Eddy fought cancer valiantly and went to the Rainbow Bridge 1-6-15, at the age of 7 years and 359 days, just six days short of his 8th birthday.   Best Dog, Ever....you will never be forgotten.
