Wow. I also forgot how many of our babies left us a year ago. November 13 was Tika's anniversary. I was torn up for about a week before it. But I was also travelling and away from all the picture of how happy she was.
I got back home and played the videos and pictures and realized…she did good. And I am still as humbled and as proud of her as I was from the day she was diagnosed (which was almost a year before that!)
To our kids–thank you for the memories and the lessons learned.

OfflineYoda passed a year ago October 14th. I remember it seemed to me like so much longer than just a month before Jake joined him. And Tika and Emily too. Ugh. Gosh, I'm remembering now how heavy that time was. Glad to have been hearing from all of you recently and that you're hanging in there.
Nobody missed a post about Yoda on the 14th, if any ol' friends are wondering - I'm pretty sure I never made one. Gerry's strategy for taking my mind off missing Yoda seems to be to have health emergencies of his own. On the 14th Gerry had to have surgery to remove an unknown mass from his upper gum. Not to worry! Just a run-of-the-mill infection. But the poor boy had three fractured teeth they realized at the same time, one of which probably led to the infection. He's all better now!! He pulled the same stunt with GI issues on the anniversary of Yoda's diagnosis. Crazy.
Looking forward to you having a functional camera again! : ) Love those Wolfie and Nala videos!!!

I, too, remember what a heavy time that was. I had a particularly hard time as each one passed, as I had not yet found my courage to face the remainder of the journey. We lost some of the great ones this time last year, and it is an honor to be able to remember them fondly and wish their pawrents well.

OfflineWe too were just beginning our journey this time last year and you were a tremendous support to us as we went through our all to short journey. I too struggle almost everyday with the loss of Tehya and somedays the tears feel like they just won't stop. Heaven got far too many beautiful Tripawd angels last year.
Take care,
Darlene Angel Tehya's Mom
