I am so very sorry to hear this news about sweet Fergus. It seems unimaginable that this horrible disease can occur in another leg so soon. My heart aches for you. You and your family will be in my thoughts.

I am so, so sorry to hear this awful news. My Sadie also got osteo in another leg, but it was 8 months post amp/chemo, so at least I got to see her fully recovered from the amp at least.  It is such shocking news, you try to prepare for future issues like lung mets, but this is like a "sucker punch" to the gut. My heart hurts for you, but I hope that being together to share the love you all have for Fergus will also help you to heal.

Lisa

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/

I am so sorry to hear about your big boy!  This disease is just not fair.  I'm not sure how far you want to go with things but you can ask your vet about pamidronate injections that can help strengthen the bone and relieve pain.

Tara,

We are in the same boat, soon we will have to make the decision for our sweet Tate.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  I hope tomorrow is truly a day of Thanksgiving for you.  Despite the sorrow, I know we have much to be thankful for and this site and the friends we have here is one big thing.  Our friends here understand our heartbreak.

I am so sorry, this is the worst part of the disease.  We send our prayers of peace to you and Fergus, and hopes that you have the best time with the time you have left.   I lost my girl this past summer, and I tried to do all the things she loved to do, but I forgot one.  It still bothers me that I forgot to do the other thing for her before she left.  So I tell you to write everything he loves down, and check them off.  It helps when you are trying for the perfect day to make sure you get all of the favorite's done.

You are in our thoughts,

Elizabeth and Sammy

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the right front leg 8/23/10, leg fractured 8/27/10, leg amputated 8/30/10 http://sammyand.....pawds.com/   I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

I am so sorry…

Just wanted to send lots of positive thoughts and prayers to Fergus.  Make lots of memories, take even more pictures (make sure that you are in them), and spoil him completely rotten.

We are so desperately sad to hear this about Fergus.  Having lost our Tripawd Wolfie a few weeks ago we did feel a real kinship to see another braving the Tripawd path and to read this so soon seems so horribly unfair.

Thinking of you all
