Yesterday,  on her 13.5 birthday,  Molly J soaked in the afternoon sunshine and let the breeze flap her ears for the last time. I am so thankful that she picked me to love her. She was nearly 9 months a tripawd. I know we packed in as much love, happiness,  playtime, boogie time, snuggles, and treats into those extra 9 months as we could, and that she led a most beautiful and satisfying life. ♡

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

This is sooooo nard. I'm so very, very sorry. Tears flowing with you and for you.

The road ahead these next few weeks and months will not be easy. At first there is almost a brief moment of "relief" that she is free from pain, young and vibrant again. Then the void, the daily routine gone, the mornings, the bedtime...everything hurts...it hits like a kick in the gut that seems like it won't stop.

But then the GLORIOUSLY happy memories that you and Molly J shared start to glue your broken heart back together. You focus on the incredible love you two shared for over thirteen years!!

Molly J showed the world how tripawd seniors don't let age define them! And she certainly didn't let a little ole amputation get in her way!!!! She will be such an inspiration for so many facing this journey! And she was VICTORIOUS!!! You and she made the most out of every single moment and she real l y did get to be a "senior" like dogs do who don't have that piece of crap disease! She transitioned on her terms soaking up the sun and catching the scent of all the festive goodies waiting for her at the Brdige!

We were ALL so privileged to share this journey with you and Molly J. And we are still here by your side now. We are family and we understand like n others can.

When you can, please share more of Molly J with us...especially pictures! She just has gentleness written all over her face!! Would love to see puppy pictures!

I bet Molly J is teaching "Boogying Dance" lessons at the Bridge right now!! They dance a bit, then take a break for more delicious treats, then boogy some more!

Sending you all the love in the world and surrounding you with Molly J's eternal grace. Shee still with you...she'll make her energy presence known.

Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

I am so sorry for your loss of your precious Molly J.  Just know that she was greeted by all her Tripawd brothers and sisters at the Bridge.  She is now healthy and romping with the others like a young pup again.  And she'll be waiting there for you with slobbery kisses and butt wiggles when it's your time to leave this earth.

And we'll all be here to lend you support with managing the grief that will come.  You will get through it...just hold onto all those special memories with Molly J in her 13+ years of life.

Hugs

My tears are falling for you......Molly J was an amazing, and beautiful soul of a dog, I am so sorry for your loss of her. Your post about her was so full of calm reflection, and never-ending love for her, but most importantly, that you gave her the utmost wonderful, and complete life that a dog could possibly have. That is what we all try to accomplish for ourselves, and our beloved fur kids as well.

Keeping you in my thoughts, and within my heart today, hoping happy memories of your girl fill your heart and mind, and that your pain eases with time.....Molly J will always be remembered, always......{{{hugs}}}

Molly J will be deeply missed, but will always be present in the hearts and minds of your humans.  These moments are hard, the next days and weeks will be very hard, and it is necessary to give yourself time to grieve this loss.  However, this is also a time to be grateful.  We are all very lucky to have been chosen to be guardians to very special dogs and cats, and we must be grateful for all the love and happiness they bring to our lives and to our families.

I am so sorry to hear about Molly J.  RIP sweet girl.  Grief is a journey in itself.  No one can travel it for you and no one can tell you how long is the right time.  That is up to each one of us.  There will be a day that the tears slow and you can smile more at the memories.

Hugs

So sorry to hear of Molly J going to the bridge. I like the words Sally uses " transitioning". Sounds as if Molly J had a very peaceful transition . I love the way you thank her for choosing you to love. Be kind to yourself and do not let ANYONE tell you when to stop feeling sad or missing her. She was a big part of your life for almost 14 years. Some people, especially non pet people or ones who have not taken this journey just don't get it. It sounds like Molly J had a wonderful life. I am sur wShe is bragging to all her friends at the bridge about all the fun she had. Hugs, Lori, Ty & the gang

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
