In sweet memory of my Indiana

I wrote this beautiful poem with so much emotion when a friend of mine's loving dog passed away. I have since shared it with a few other friends of mine when they lost their sweet angels. When I wrote this, I was thinking of my Indy and my heart ached knowing that this poem would be for him one day…

I dedicate this poem to my true love Indiana who will forever live on in my heart. His paw prints are engraved in my heart and in my soul. I will love him until the end of time.

I am still here

Just a heartbeat away

For I live within your heart

And I am here to stay

We have an eternal bond

That you will always feel

We will love each other forever

And that is very real

Please think of me as happy

At peace and not alone

For heaven is a comfort

Like the comfort you have shown

You have always been there for me

Putting me before the rest

I will always remember you

For you have been the best

There is nothing stronger

Than the love you have given me

I will live within your heart forever

Until eternity…

Carol, That is a wonderful poem/tribute to Indy. I'm so sorry for your loss, but in time the sweet memories of Indy will replace the grief you are feeling now. He'll be in your heart always! RIP Indy, run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Sending you many golden hugs…

Carol,

I have been following Indy's story, and knew that his time was getting close. Even when there is time to say good-bye, even knowing ahead of time that the end is coming, it's still never an easy thing. My heart is breaking for you.

Sending you comforting thoughts,

Micki
