Our sweet baby girl has lost her battle with osteosarcoma. Our hearts are breaking. Our home feels so empty.

In December she was having difficulty walking. Vets thought is was maybe an injury from slipping on the ice. We started NSAIDs and she improved. She had started on Palladia and we were hopeful we would have more time with her. Three weeks later she began having trouble walking again. Vet suspected it was an inflammatory process caused by the cancer. Another chest x-ray was done and it showed her lung tumor had continued to grow. The vet said Ada had only weeks to live. She was started on prednisone to manage the inflammatory process (hypertropic osteopathy) and more pain meds.

Once again, Ada improved but only for a few days. Her breathing started to get faster, but the inflammatory process was ravaging her legs. They became swollen and more painful. She had trouble walking. We knew it was time to say good bye.

She died in my arms knowing she was dearly loved. She is now pain free and at the Rainbow Bridge running happy and free of all her pain and suffering.

This sweet girl has left a hole in our hearts. Her life was so short. We struggle with this and wonder why her. She will truly be missed.

Thank you all for your support during Ada's short journey with osteosarcoma. You helped us through this difficult time.

Deb and our new angel, Ada

I'm so sorry for your loss.  This stage of the journey is the very hardest.  I hope in time your heart will heal enough for you to remember the joyful memories you have known with Ada.  Know you gave her the gift of loving her enough to let her go and she's now running healthy and whole with all our furry warriors that went before her and met her at the Bridge.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Dear sweet Deb......You and your precious Ada were sooo tuned into each other,so connected. She told you when she wanted to stay here in her earth clothes and she told you when she was ready to jump out of them. She knew you would listen. She knew you loved her enough to help her free herself.

Everytime we lose a family member, we cry with you. We do. There's an extra layer ro our grief though when it's such a youngster, an adorable precious young Soul like Ada.

We know dogs don't count days on a calendar. We know they become our earth partners to impart life lessons they came here to teach us. When they feel like their mission is complete, they move onto the next phase of their Soul's journey.

Oh, Ada is still with you nestled snuggly in your heart! And she'll send you messages to let you know that. She will, GUARANTEED! Everyone of us who have experienced this gut wrenching sadness have all received very specific messages that let us know they are, not only still with us, but they are happy and, in Ada's case, doing ZOOMIES!!

The void, the break in routine after caring for our beloved tripawds seems unbearable at first. We can all tell you that, eventually, the happy times will take over. The thousands of joyful times will slowly lush the sadness in the background. The waves of grief will still hit you like a ton of bricks, less frequently, but it'll still show up.

Stay connected. Let us know how we can help. Even though there is nothing we can do, just being with those who understand brings some comfort.

I do have ro say, I bet the Bridge through one heck of a pawty when Bailey told them Ada was coming! I'm sure they all were doing ZOOMIES with Bailey leading the way!

When you can, we'd love to hear more about Ada and, of course, with pictures!

Give sweet Carly a hug for us, and give yourself a big hug from all of us..

With love

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Deb, I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet Ada, she fought a good, hard battle, and she left this earth with you by her side and in her heart........ We all know how difficult this end to this unwanted journey is, but try to remember she lived life the best way possible, as a loving pup that didn't worry about what tomorrow would bring. She will live on in your heart, and even by your side even though you can't see her...... They will always be a part of us, and I am hoping happy memories of her take away most of the pain in your heart, but I do know that some pain will always remain to be a reminder of how much you loved her. My precious angel Polly, and so many others were there at the Bridge to greet Ada......💜

Keeping you in my thoughts,

Bonnie, Angel Polly, Pearl, and Zuzu
