posted by karen for Patty and Baron

About 30 seconds after Baron passed, the coyotes startled howling very loudly for about two minutes.  We'd never heard anything like it and it was the middle of the day.  I believe Baron's spirit was released and he was chasing those coyotes away from our house.  Still protecting us even as he passed.

He did awesome on his 3 legs for so long.  My whole neighborhood applauded for him as he walked on by.  It was like we had a fan club.

And when my Mom was still alive, I use to take him into her assisted living facility.  You should have seen the old folks eyes at first.  A 120 pound Rottweiler with 3 legs coming in.  Pure Terror!  Ha!

The old people could relate to Baron.  They sat there in wheel chairs and with oxygen tanks. And in came Baron on 3 legs as happy as the day is long.  He inspired them.  He gave them hope.  He was so very special.  And I miss him so much.

Thnk you Karen...lovely...

And the tears flow again. But you know what comes shining through? Every single picture shows Baron's gentle, loving and happy heart. This boy isnsuch a Rock Star of Lpve!superstar

Top all those wonderful traits off with that smoochable adorable mug and you can get cuteness overload pretty quickly!

Patty, you've done a beautiful job of sharing with us some of the reasons Baron will NEVER be forgotten! Baron touched lives. Baron inspired and motivated others to overcome obstacles with grace...and a happy smile.

Additionally, he will forever be a Beacon of Hope for anyone on this journey. He shows us all that maybe their dog can be the next Baron.

The Coyotes were definitely giving Baron applause through their howls as he headed to the Bridge! He was given more applause from all the dogs at the Bridge as they greeted him with their welcome wagon full.of an obscene amount of junk food!!

Excellent job Baron! Now go.play!

Surrounding you with hugs and love...

A Rock Star of Love, that he was. That second photo of the baby on his back is my great niece. He was SO good with her, she wanted to ride him and he just tolerated her climbing all over him. (Such a vicious Rottweiler, NOT) He was an Ambassador of this breed, as well as the other so called bully breeds, and how a dog well loved can be so kind and gentle. He changed minds of skeptics. He made me so proud. Yes, tears flow again. But I do hope Baron's journey will encourage others here.  Beating osteo is no small task but it can happen. With love to all of you still fighting. Keep going as every day is worth it!

Love to you and again your kindness means more to me than I can every say.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

What a beacon of hope Baron is!   He was such a beautiful boy.  I too believe there is no such thing as a bad breed.  Just bad owners.  All dogs raised with love and kindness reflect that.  You were an exceptional pawrent and Baron reflects that in every picture.  Just a huge bundle of love.  Baron so knew he was loved and his spirit will remain by your side helping you when you need him.  Hugs ((()))

What a wonderful tribute to a great dog!  Baron was obviously well-loved and definitely a wonderful spokesdog for all tripawds everywhere.  Thank you for sharing him smiley

Beautiful!

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Very, very beautiful.

Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

Hi Patty,

I am so very sorry about your handsome Baron. I just love his pictures, especially the last one with his adorable eyes just giving that adorable look...and those paws!!smileysmiley I know exactly how you feel; I just lost my sweet Lily on 4/1/16. She was a 4 year, 3month, and 15 day survivor of osteo with a front amp. Lily had just turned 13. She was my shy greyhound and my constant companion. Since she was so shy, I became her protector, and I'm heartbroken that I can't protect her anymore. I went back and read your posts, and I could so relate to how you are feeling. I cry every day, and still look for her in her special places. A neighbor just stopped by, and she shared that she started to feel a little better at 2 months. I know that we're all different, but your posts described exactly how I feel. I posted a Tribute to Lily and another post the day after I lost her. If you want to check those out. We loved our furbabies so much, we miss them so much, and we were so fortunate to have them in our lives. Sending hugs to you, and wishing you peace.

Take care,

Joan and her angel, Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Thoughtfully expressed Joan. Yep Joan and Patty, iit was right around the two month mark that I realized I didn't cry that day. Oh the waves of grief still came, still do, but mercifully you start to jace lo ger breaks in between filled with gloriously happy memories.

Patty, maybe uou could find a special spot in the yard.and plant an evergreen of some sort and place a little tribute plaque of some sort there. Maybe you could find a pendant that resembles a howling coyote.

Joan a d Patty, check out Rene's jewelry on Etsy. Needless to say, she does beautiful work. The extra magical touch is the heart and Soul and love she puts into each piece. I nave several "pieces", from necklaces, to plaques to collars. Happy Hannah's necklaces.are a wonderful "touchstone" for me

Much love to you.
