Making the decision to let Brody go was the hardest one I ever had to make. A few things I did helped me. I had my vet come out to the house, I think that was also for Brody. My husband and I printed out pictures of some of our favorite "B" memories over his life. We also each in private wrote him note and read it to him that morning. We were able to cremate those things with him. And now I am working on a photo book through Costco.com. It has been bittersweet to go through all the memories of the years past and it keeps Brody near me. Hopefully these ideas might others grieve too.

Thank you very much for sharing these personal thoughts. They are certain to help others with this most emotional decision.
Knowledge is power when it comes time. The more one is prepared to say goodbye, the better. That's we we wrote about how we knew when to say goodbye to Jerry.
