Another vote for Dasuquin and fish oil (good quality and check it has been tested for mercury contamination). The key thing will be building and maintaining core strength and keeping Royal skinny to minimise stress on his joints. I would strongly recommend taking him to see a certified rehab practitioner. They will be able to advise you on all of the above and help you come up with a programme to help his body adjust to his new gait and keep his joints healthy long term. You may even be able to have your first visit paid for by the Tripawds Vet Rehabilitation Reimbursement Program
