I posted my tripaws Josephine's Story in the share your story section. She lost her leg after being hit by a car as a young stray puppy. Best guess is she was only 3-4 months old when she got hit. She is now 1 and doing fantastically. Just wanted to stop and say hi to all the folks in the boyond cancer area, at Jerry's urging. So Hello!
It's nice to welcome a new pup to the site who isn't here due to cancer. Welcome to you and Josephine.
It's so awesome to be a Tripawd pawrent. Welcome to the site. Lots of great folks here. Looking forward to hearing more about Josephine (and welcome Napolean to the MonkeyButt ranks!).

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Welcome Josephine! My dog also lost her leg to being hit by a car when she was a puppy. Her animals gave her to the Humane Society because they could not afford medical bills. They tried to fix it and she actually had it for about 10 months or so after the accident but in the end it didn't hold up well and after we adopted her the specialist we took her to said it would be best for us to amputate, it's been 4 months and she is doing wonderful! So happy that we still have our Bailey with us. And happy for you also, to have your baby still.
