Okay, Seriously, Quixote needs to stop. I think its time that he becomes an indoor only dog. He has managed to injure his remaining back leg. He was walking around the house on only his front legs. His wheelchair is now out and ready for use. He is in his crate and I have decided that he is now a strictly indoor dog. Pee pads ect all the way. No more stairs or outdoors rough terrain slippery floors ect. Quixote is now a bubble dog. I love him, I really do but I dont know what he could have done to his leg. I adore him... if I keep saying that it will be true right?
QUIXOTE! What in the world have you been up to you frisky little adventurous dog! Oh my goodness!
Does it appear ro be along the lines of a "sprain", a knee issue, etc.? Is there swelling? I'm sure you've checked his paw (probably a million times by now!). Does he seem to be in pain? Have yiu started him on any meds? Are you goi going to have the Vetm check him or is it something that is starting to get better?
We sure woukd love to see so e pictures of this cutie pie! It's been too long in between our Quixote cuteness fix!!
Paws crossed this will clear up quickly and he can still go outside WITHOUT getting himself in trouble!!
Big hugs to all!!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
He is licking and chewing on his leg, sitting down more often and occasionally simply not using it, which is really not all that simple. It seems to be bugging him but not pain full. The hip joint feels warm to the touch. I have not started meds and we will go to the vet if it persists. My husband is cutting Quixote back to one easy walk a day... The dogs normally get 2 or 3 5plus km walks a day. It is not a weight issue as I keep him trim. I guess he slipped on the ice last night maybe? Nothing appears wrong with his paw (I have checked A LOT).
I lost my password for photobucket, I will try to reset it.
