Murphy lived in doggy jail, too, while he was recuperating from each of his surgeries. We used one of those exercise pens for smaller breeds, since he wasn't capable of getting out. We still keep it around and use it when we have to take him with us to someplace new. He has slept in it at motels and at our daughter's house. It is invaluable for the times we are camping. So nice to be able to set up camp and not worry about the dogs.

It sounds like she is coming along wonderfully. You got the same vet advice that we did...just slow her down!

There is a link to the photo posting instructions, but of course I don't have it in front of me. You will also see that I am NOT the best one to ask about it, as I had a slow learning curve on that. You can do a search at the top of the forums and it will take you to the right place. I had to learn to use Photobucket and Youtube! Now I will go to the Facebook page and check out Bailey's photos.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
