I needed to get more glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, MSM for my dogs, and accidentally bought a brand that had 250mg of Chinese Skullcap (root) (Scutellaria baicalensis) and Black Catechu (wood) (Acacia catechu). Are they safe for dogs?  I can't find anything definite online.

It also has hyaluronic acid 3.3 mg, glucosamine HCl 1500 mg, MSM 1500 mg, and Chondroitin sulfate sodium 200 mg.  The amounts are for 3 pills.  How many per day would I give my 70 and 76 pound dogs?  Thanks!

Amy, I don't know about the Skullcap or Catechu but will look that up.

I do not know about these drugs.  They may be safe but I just can't say.  Is there some sort of symbol that guarantees purity?  Some herbs are contaminated with other chemicals so you have to be careful!

Never heard of Black Catechu either, just Google-ed it, sounds like big caution needs to be taken with this herb:
