Recently adopted a 9 month old husky/lab mix, Jazzi. She lost her front leg due to negligence of her original owners, and was then abandoned after having her amputation. Because she has basically grown up on concrete in the kennels, her remaining leg is very badly bowed out. My vet splinted the leg, however despite my best efforts and much time in the crate, she snapped her splint and it had to be removed only a week and a half later with no improvement to the leg. In talking to the vet, she stated that it doesn't make sense to splint her leg again if she will only continue to break the splint. The doctor recommend a more permanent leg brace instead. We do not yet know where to get one that will do the job, is good quality, cost effective, and won't be broken by my rambunctious puppy.

Any suggestions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated. I looked Animal Ortho Care llc that I found through this site and will be sending them an email to find their suggestions, too. However, all of their products seem to be a similar kind of plastic that my puppy has already proven she can and will break. I am at a loss. Jazzi gets around great, but her leg is so badly angled that I am worried of it breaking or that she will develop severe arthritis in it, and it cannot be good for her posture. Help please!

I have not used these.  Your best bet is to consult a veterinary surgeon if there is one in your area.
