Shelby's lower left canine tooth has always been discolored, a brownish tone. Our vet said the tooth did not have any enamel on it, a birth defect. She has lived with us for six months and the tooth is almost completely worn down, she doesn't seam to have any sensitivity to hot or cold. We don't want this to be the start of an infection, are there canine dentists?
Thanks for your time and help.

My brother is a dentist who had his vet help him replace his old Golden's fang with a gold tooth! But yes, there are certainly veterinary dental specialists to be found. Ask your vet or find the nearest teaching hospital, or comprehensive care center.
Though I wonder if it is only cosmentic. If you look closely at Jerry's most viewed video, you can see how badly he wore his teeth down on a plastic ball. It never seemed to bother him, and he loved chomping down on raw chicken legs!
