Her legacy Clare, Pie's legacy of bringing joy and laughter was immersed in her Soul the day she jumped into her earth clothes
What dog can make us larigh....I mean really laugh at EVERY single memory while we grieve so hard? And there are those pictures of Pie resting and sleeping so soundly she can put us in a state of Zen unlike any meditation ever could.
And n dog could wear "that" color as well as Elsie Pie!! Definitely a NOTICE ME color!!
And nothing makes us laugh harder when the Pie starts talking 
when she's pffed off about some perceived injustice you or Meg did to her.

Oh Clare, I just can't find any words. Like everyone else, I fell in love with the Pie the moment I laid eyes on her. Whether Meg will admit it or not, Elsie stole the show every time. The interrogation video is the best.
I can't imagine the shock of losing her so suddenly. The world upside down in seconds. I am glad there was no trauma and she passed in your arms knowing how much she was loved.
I have no doubt the welcome party at the Bridge is epic.
Keep breathing dear Clare, in and out. I hope you know and can feel how much this community loves you and Meg. That Miss Pie will never be forgotten goes without saying.

All these videos and photos of Pie just made us smile SO big here. She was a determined lady, a force to be reckoned with and a spirit that shines brighter than the sun. I swear, in looking at the pics, she had to be human in her previous life. What expressions! What attitude!
There's just no way to prepare for any of our animal's parting day, but at a moment's notice you came through, put your own grief aside and gave her the dignified, pain-free farewell that she deserved. What a great mom you are, Clare.
I hope you and Meg are doing alright. My guess is that Meg really feels her absence as much as you do, if not more. Others can give you better insight as far as helping another pack member through grief, so I'll just leave you with {{{{hugs}}}. We send all our love.

Clare, I am so sorry for your loss, your beautiful cheeky girl! I have been tearing up and giggling with each different video and picture that your friends are posting here! Elsie Pie’s candle will never be extinguished, her earthly spirit couldn’t contain her and I’m sure she will be as vibrant at the bridge, I think we will all be seeing signs of Elsie Pie... whether we know it or not!
Clare, I believe that there are few people that can truly show their fur babies character, on words alone... you have managed like a true Champ! Elsie Pie has managed to make me giggle a few times and she managed to do the same today... Thank you both for that!
Sending massive hugs across the miles to both you and Meg!!! Know that throughout the day, you are being surrounded by love! As Holly and Sally suggested, stay busy for yourself and stay on the routine for Megs sake. Meg will be your Star in getting through this with you!

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I wish there were words to help comfort you but please know, many people are reaching out to you with open arms and to hold you tight during this grieving time. Also know that when we will look up to the sky, we will now think of Pie along with the other loving pets that have left us all too soon. You will be together again one day.

Elsie Pie didn't go anywhere far, she knows too well how much we all love her and above all how much you and Meg love her and nothing can change that.

It is painful not to be able to see her, smell her lovely fur and cuddle with her but what can you do, sweetie?
One has to accept our babies become Angels and therefore we cannot see them as before... but they are still by our side watching over us all the time.

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

This is just so wonderful, Holly. I've watched it about a thousand times since you first sent it to me yesterday. It made me cry, of course, but good tears, because it is just so filled with love. Thank you, so, so much for all the thought and care and time and love you put into making this.
I have been completely overwhelmed by all the support and love we've received from our Tripawds family. Truly blown away. To know that our little Pie touched so many hearts, with her stoutly determined character, and her resolute chin stuck up in the air, and her never holding back, not once, not ever, from expressing her opinions... It has brought real comfort at this terrible time. How thrilled she would be, glancing over at Meg to make sure she'd noticed, 'Do you see, Meg? Do you see what they're saying! And it's not even like I'm a tripawd Meg. Do you see how much they love me!'
Thank you, every one of you for every single word you've written. It has made such a difference. Really. Truly.

OMD Holly that song was written for "Our Pie". Perfect just perfect! And the tribute brought more tears but smiles also.....because Elsie Pie made me smile every single time I saw her. What a loving gift this is! And Clare that is EXACTLY what Pie is saying to Meg....her spirit shines on forever in our hearts and souls!
