Lily in the snow

My Lily passed over the rainbow bridge today. She was 14 months post amp. The cancer returned with a vengence 6 weeks ago. We had a great 6 weeks on her "Happiness Tour". We had lots of treats, went to the beach, went to every park she loved and enjoyed the snow. She was such a blessing to our family. Keep fighting the good fight, Tripawds! Every day is worth it! Thank you for always being there for us.

Oh Nicole I'm soooooo sorry. You and Lilly fought the good fight yourselves, what a beautiful life you gave your pretty girl. Our hearts ache for her loss but we rejoice in the hope and inspawration she will always give to those looking for a sign that life can be good on three legs. When you joined us (on Christmas Day, 2013, nonetheless!), she was having a hard time. Look at how far you both went after things got better! Wow.

A "Happiness Tour." Love that.

She will never be far from any of our hearts. I will always think of her pretty tail swishing away in pure joy:

Many, many hugs coming your way.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.... Lily Bear Ryan was beautiful and so very loved.... I love that you took her on a happiness tour! That is a great idea. Talk about "being more dog" and living each day to the fullest.

You fought an amazing fight for sure!

Sending healing love and energy ...

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I am so sorry to hear of Lily Bear's passing.  You gave her the greatest gift we can.  It isn't easy this part of the journey & never will be.  Grieving is a very personal journey.  No one can tell you how long is the right time or when you should stop.

RIP Lily Bear, Run free

I'm sorry, this part is so hard.  Sounds like you did a great thing- the Happiness Tour! A new standard for those on this part of the journey.

I hope the good memories of all the good times help you through the next days and weeks.

Lily Bear lives on in your heart and so will always be by your side.

Tears as I read this. We have lost so many of our Golden children this year. Thoughts are with you. Run free, Lily Bear. You will be missed, but you leave such a wonderful legacy.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

So sorry for your loss.  Joined after you but am also a Golden mom.  Yes, the "happiness tour" is something to be included in the Tripawd family guide, because they deserve it !  they are great fighters, and we are all blessed to have them with us, even if for a shorter period than we would want.  Lily Bear will always be in your heart.

Daniela & Johnnie

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet.   Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues.   Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle.  October 17:  started having seizures.  Taking fenobarbital for seizures.  April 18: started prednisone.

I'm so sorry for your loss of precious Lily Bear.  She looks so beautiful in her picture and peaceful in the snow!  You have so many memories I'm sure with your Happiness Tour.  Hold tight to those special memories.

Nicole and family...

My heart aches so badly for you, and with you. We all cry at the loss of sweet...ever so sweet...Lily Bear.

I followed her journey from the beginning and cheered her on with every victory! And she was victorious, make no mistake about it! That stupid piece of crap disease coukd not invade her soul or touch her spirit! You did not allow it to rob you of your time together!! Liky Bear did things on HER terms and in ner own way!! And she thoroughly loved every second of all the loving and spoiling you bestowed on her every day of her glorious life!

And how she lpved being loved...and giving back love!! Everyday with "her boy" and "her family" was a HAPPINESS TOUR!!

When you can PLEASE share more of the delightfully happy moments you and Lioy Bear shared. ...AND PHOTOS!! The picture and the video posted here have me smiling through the tears! As Jerry always says, the ending of the journey is but a blink of an eye comared to all the thousands and thousands of splendid days you and Li k y Bear shared. That's what she woukd want you to remember!

You will grieve like you think it will never end. The waves of sadness wiil wash over you for months to come. The caring for a tripawd leaves a void like no other. And we all understand like no others can. And we know the good memories will eventually help heal your heart. And we know Lily Bear will make her presence known to you. It may take awhile though because she's having such a blast st the Bridge eating steak and ice cream and chasing tennis balls in the snow...and then taking a dip in a heated pool

Surrounding you with love!

Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
