So I thought this was interesting.  I subscribe to our Zoo's FB page which is called the Henry Doorly Zoo it is one of the top zoos  in the country.  Thousands & thousands of visitors  every year.  It is always packed pretty much year round.  They have lots of indoor exhibits plus outside ones.  But this is the reason I am posting it our Tripawd page.  I saw this picture of a Tiger ( I haven't been this last year so I am not sure how long he has been here) maybe awhile.

Without being here at the Zoo this Tiger wouldn't have made it in the wild.

Oh wow! What a beautiful Tiger in all her tripawdness!

Nope, life in the wild would jave been brutal and painfully short...ugh.

You know youHAVE to make a trip to the Zoo now when it gets warmer and check in on her and send pictures!

Hugs and love to you and all the pack!

Oooooh! That is so cool Michelle, we've never seen a three-legged tiger. I would love to see this gorgeous animal in person some day. Apparently this gal is from Malaysia. She lost her leg when she got caught in a trap and was rescued then transported to the zoo. She has had 3 litters and has been at the zoo since 2003.

Whoa..... seriously impressive... three legged tiger? That is kind of cool (sad that she lost the leg but great that she has adapted!)

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Rene,

You & Jim should contact them.  I am sure they would be interested in hearing about the site.  They may even give you a tour.  The zoo is awesome.  Shari & I went when she was here to visit.  I didn't see this one though she may not have been on display at the time or outside and we might have missed her.  She is sweet.  I am glad you found the video of her.

Wow, she is beautiful! It's so great that they have given her a chance. She appears to be a bengal tiger I'm guessing, so how great of her rescuers to put her in a zoo where she can contribute to her species. Three litters is wonderful. That's amazing......I love this tiger.

Wow...such an amazing site to see a tiger come through amputation and thrive to provide the world 3 liters of special cubs!!!!  Such an inspiration to see the wild counterparts to our domestic furbabies can be just as resilient and adapting to such a major surgical procedure.

Thanks for sharing and I wish Omaha was a little closer to WV.  My husband and I used to travel through Nebraska on I-80 every October on our way to Wyoming for his mule deer hunting trip.  We haven't been out that way for 3 or 4 years now since we sold the small house we had out there.  The landscape out that way was always so breathtaking and I do miss not going out there every year....all though I don't miss the drive in the least...winker

We've never been to Omaha but now we just might have to make it a stop on our way to Virginia for the get-together in May.

Sahana where in Wyoming was your place? Jerry's Acres isn't too far from WY.

We had a house in the town of Lusk, WY.  It's on the eastern side of WY and roughly an hour and a half from Casper, WY.  It was a 2 stop light town...winker

We loved the slow pace and peacefulness of the town.  We have a lot of fond memories from our trips out there.

Michelle,

My family and I live in North Platte (about 3.5 hours West on I80) and we visit the zoo as often as possible!  My daughter has always been fascinated with this tiger and actually it was discussed when we were making the decision to amputate our Molly's front leg.  It is the #1 Zoo in the country and is well worth the trip for anyone traveling this direction.
