Sorry I have been MIA lately, but life has been crazy and internet at home has been a bit sketchy. It has taken my husband over a year to actually be open to letting a new puppy into his heart and last night (for the first time) he did not immediately say NO! when I showed him pictures of available puppies. Maybe it's because this one looks an awful lot like Shooter. Anyway, a new little one is joining our happy family on Thursday to bring it back to "fourminipups" again. No name yet, but will update once we have him home and take pictures. This pic is from the breeder. He will have to be named after booze to keep with our tradition so I'm open to suggestions!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Some name thoughts are Jack (as in Daniel's, of course), courtesy of DH. Some Aussie liquor/beer names came to mind. How about Cooper or Foster? Or you could go for Bundaberg (Bundy) which is an Australian distiller.
And best of all...Shooter's picture was on the banner when I saw this.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
And who's banner pops up as I click into this forum to post??!! Yep, Shooter !! Oh, this puppy is so precious and adorable.... And I LOVE the "name the new pup game" !!
But first I have to say, I am glad your hubby is opening his heart again to the idea of a new pup.....it is truly a very difficult thing to overcome, especially when you love and lose a beloved and very special pup in your life........Speaking for myself, I am in no hurry either.......
Ok, on to the name-game.......my first choice is Christian, as in Christian Bros Brandy, as in it is heading toward the holiday season and seasonal eggnog is my favorite........
#2 ........ I am also a rum kind of girl, Cruzan is one of my favorites......
#3 ........ Hubby is a scotch whiskey kind of guy, so Macallans scotch is the favorite, but Mac for short.....
That is all I have at the moment but I am sure I can come up with plenty more....
Mostly, I wish the best for you, your family, and this new sweet pup....may he live a very long and happy life with you.

We missed you and your pup is adorable. Don't even get us started on finding a booze name. You will have to remind us of your other dog's names. We could make it a contest with voting (just kidding admin). So glad your husband was open to a new dog. It took mine a year to agree to add on to our family. Let's see, I'm a wine drinker (reisling, moscato, gurt). Hubby is a whiskey drinker (Jim Beam, CC,) Or Kahlua, Schnapps, Tres Leches. Those are all pretty awful. Have fun with the little guy and send PICTURES.
