Is it time for more Ollie????
Yesterday afternoon he had a serious case of the zoomies, first outside and then in the house. The outside ones were accompanied by quick dips in the doggie pool for a cool down. He was also "helping" us do yard work. He just loves Dad's garden work gloves. He also "borrowed" a crescent wrench. No idea what he was planning to do with that.
Today he is showing off some of his newly acquired manners. He has learned that the alpha dog always gets to go out the door first. A little reminding is necessary, but this is a total turnaround from the dog who would knock everyone out of the way to get out the door first...on Tuesday of this week!

Our little? puppy now smells lovely, too. He had an oatmeal and aloe bath this afternoon. Just stood there enjoying all the rubbing and rinsing like he had done it all his life. I would say that bathing him was even easier than bathing Gus, and that's saying something!

A d hes, it's ALWAYS time for Ollie! just love how Ollie KNOWS this is home! Frankie was like that too. Instantly comfortable, not one second of whining or pacing. Became a lap dog within an hour of being home!
Hope Kerry can fix the video so we can see it. I didt get to see the one you did on facebookie either! :-Ugh!

PS Gus, sureley your mom was just joking when she said bathing Ollie was even easier than bathing you! Sometimes humans eat too much chocolate and it makes them say ridiculous things! 
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Guess what!! There are two trees in my new back yard that have BALLS growing on them! All this week I have thought those balls were just laying around on the ground under the trees. My new mom and dad kept taking them and throwing them out. I thought the squirrels kept bringing more of them. Turns out they actually grow on APPLE trees. This morning I helped myself to two of them, but my mom still caught me and made me give them to her. She says they will have to take all the balls off of the bottom branches, but I think I can still jump up high enough to reach some of them.

I did get to see the first two just now! Guess I was too impatient waiting for Verizon to load it.
Seeing Ollie sooooo happy....so thrilled to not have to be "in charge"...so trusting.....this just lights up this whole community with joy! And to know you have the sounds of a dog in your home again. A reason to get up in the morning and someone to snuggle with at night (ok..you have each other, but there is nothing like a snuggle from a dog and a sloppy kiss good night!), something to put color back in your day...good job Murph and Gus...EXCELLENT JOB! This TRULY is soooo meant ro be!
To see Ollie with his first waffle from Dad...OMD! I could almost FEEL Murphy and Gus beside him whispering in his ear telling him exactly how this routine works! The focus Ollie has in Garry and Garry on him...such an incredible connection already. Had to laugh...love how Garry licked his fingers after giving Ollie a bite...true love!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I'm afraid Ollie will have to wait for those apples until they are a little bigger than golf ball size. I'm picturing a bad tummy ache if he ate them now. He has already figured out that there are two ends on a banana, though.
His house manners have improved immensely, but he would still love to bolt if he found the front door open. He got out the other morning and I had to chase him down the street (barefoot, in my pajamas), until he cornered himself in a neighbor's yard. We are taking him in this afternoon to have his microchip implanted. More walks on the leash to familiarize him with the neighborhood are on the agenda.
We had to go out last night to a goodby party for a neighbor, so he got a frozen Kong with peanut butter in his kennel. He was happy to see us home, but he did just fine.

Oh My Goodness...where have I been...
Ollie is simply ADORABLE!!!! Loved all his pics and the video of eating waffles...yummy!!! Murphy definitely found you a beautiful "golden penny"!! And my goodness...it takes 2 "old folks" to handle a rambunctious pup that a young family with a 10 yr old had to return... Take that crazy rescue folks!!
Ollie has no idea the jackpot he just hit when he found his way to your home. He will never want for nothing again!
