Well this might be one of my "most liked" photos on FB in a really really long time... BUT wow... Look at that smile! That big cheezy (almost like the Joker from batman) smile on this little girl's face! We were at the dog park and we had it all to our self and I was throwing her tennis ball for her.
Jasper SMILES. Jasper is HAPPY. Jasper LOVES her life! I did something right!!! My BFF and I went out last night and she said, it MUST make you happy to see how much Jasper has changed and embraced her life.
Even a guy at the dog park who first met Jasper months ago when I first had her showed up yesterday and asked me if she was the same dog ... her personality shines all the time! FEARLESS. (except when I opened the car windows for fresh air, she freaked and hid on the floor).
Shelby knew what she was doing. Shelby guides me always and I can just imagine Shelby thinking... "yeah, this is ALL me"... Thank YOU Shelby Lynne and thank you Tripawds for believing in me when I did not (didn't think I could love again) and loving Jasper long before I loved her... I can't get over that grin.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

You have an amazing ability to make me cry every time I read one of your posts on Jasper......her smile is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time! She still reminds me of the pic of that pup that looks like her at Disney World with Goofy, that says "the BEST. DAY. EVER. !!"
You can bet Jasper is loving life to the absolute fullest, and she is becoming more happy and secure every single day......But it definitely has everything to do with you being her mom.....and yes, we all believed in you learning to accept and give your immense amount of love and joy to a new very fortunate pup coming into your life, and Shelby knew better than any of us. It does my heart good to see how happy you, and so many others have learned to do again, after such heart wrenching losses......we all have more love than we realize, and are so willing to give it to another pup again when that perfect pup comes along. We will NEVER stop missing our most beloved Tripawd angels, but to move on means healing, and that is what our angels want for us.

Alison that is SO adorable! Heck we all knew it was only a matter of time before she took on your bubbly personality. Shelby had her work cut out for her, Jasper wasn't an easy task, but look at the magic Shelby sprinkled all over her, it really shows up in Jasper's smile.
You sure did do something right. You gave this girl a chance and stuck it out. Now look, you're a team! How cool.

Another frame worthy shot! She is so happy and photogenic. BTW, I dug out and played Neil Diamond. My 5 year old Granddaughter loves him. She made me play Cracklin Rosie like 20 times for her. LOL As for you making Jasper happy, I did not have one moment of doubt! Hugs, Lori, Ty and gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Either your mkr Jasoer are lost anymore...Shelby made sure you found eachnother...and she wasn't going to take NO for an answer...no matter how hard you fought it...no matter how hard you tried ro push Jasoer away from your heart!

Awe... thanks y'all! I do feel a bit older and wiser and am very thankful to have little miss Jasper Lily by my side - especially after a devastating end to the Super Bowl yesterday and as I embark on the first week of the month of February which usually leaves me in a deep depression. This year on Feb. 7, will make 18 years since my daddy earned his wings and then on Feb 8, will mark Shelby's 10th month as an angel.
As blessed as I am to have TWO amazing angels watching over me, I am terribly sad and miss them them daily ...
BUT I've got the shenanigans of this little fur-ball to bring me some laughs and smiles. I was doing laundry yesterday and Jasper kept putting her firehose toy in the basket. Watching her try and fish it out was hilarious.
Oh and for those curious ... two weeks ... that is what it took for her to break through it and get one of the squeakers out. Jaws of steel that one...

I @love how gentle and tentative she was with the laundry basket...and just as gentle with her chew toy. She's so precious Alison, she really is!

Ok, I need firehouse toys! 2 whole weeks of squeaker free chewing, I will take it! JL is so cute. Very persistent, she was not giving up till she got her toy. Hugs, Lori , Ty and the canine trio

Lori - that toy STILL has a squeaker, it just took longer to get it out. And some nights, I had to take the toy away since she would only chomp ON the squeaker but definitely a good toy for the money. It was $9 (which seems pricey) but that she can still play with it - almost 2 weeks later - very good! Those other toys are all deflated carcasses in our house ...
