What a great way to celebrate National Dog Day! Such a treat ro see ohotos of Meesha and Melody! Each picture finds me saying an audible "Awwww..."
The picture of Meesha enjoying her ear scratches...OMD...look at that expression of pure joy!! And look at "baby" Melody ...she sure had a lot of ears and legs to grow into! Quite the adorable lanky puppy!
The beautiful picture of Harmony...dear sweet Harmony...an Angel on Earth and an Angel in Heaven. Her gentle Spirit and great capacity to love certainly were her "trademarks". One thing I shall ALWAYS remember about Harmony, is how devoted she was to you as you were to her. Even after surgery, all she wanted to do was be with her humans. That made her so happy, so content, so at peace. She savored every single second of your love, just as you did hers. That kind of love is infused in your very being and will ALWAYS be with you.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

I'm a little late for National Dog Day and have been MIA for sometime, but today is 2 years since Shooter crossed the Bridge. In his memory, here is a picture of Team Shooter in all their glory. (I'm hoping this picture works - if not, use your imagination!).

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Awww look at those great dawgs!
Two years? Wow. Hard to believe. I see his banner here at least once a day and smile.
