Hey all!

Some of you may or may not know...but after Salem passed I came up with a small business where I make cat beds and toys.  If I sell any, I donate half the profits, I also make items and donate them to different places.  I haven't done anything huge yet, mostly dropped off a few cat toys here and there at Vet offices, who then collect $1-2 and donate to the SPCA here.

However... today was different.

I have been donating my time to a foundation here called Cat Tales.  They foster and house kittens and cats for adoption.  I basically go feed them, clean them and play with them for a couple hours a week.  I wanted to do something more though.  Something in Honor of Salem, especially since the one year angelversary has come.

So...I grabbed every bed I have made, plus a few fleece blankets I had intended for something else and took them with me to my shift.  Every kitty that was there got a bed to lay on, plus the blankets.  I also brought a few toys for them to play with as well.  It was well received!!

Boy did it make me feel good!!

Only problem was this little stinker....

He wanted my attention the whole time, sat on my shoulder as I cleaned, curled up by my neck while I sat with him...when I put him back in his crate he cried and cried.  Broke my heart.  He will get scooped up quickly I know.  Just wish I could adopt him myself.

Way to go Kendi.  These kitties while they are at the shelter will be comfy and maybe they can even take their beds with them when they are adopted.  Love that you did this.  Merry Christmas to those furry babies.

KENDI! What a wonderful way honor Salem!! You've done it in a way that is so life affirming and makes a huge difference to each of these kitties.

I know each item was made with such love and care.

I love the oictures! They give such "warm fuzzies" knowing how happy these little kitties are to have their very own beds!

I love how that little kitty was showing you his appreciation by curling up on your shoulder.

Yoj are so kind and caring Kendi. I know Salem is purring happuly because he's so proud of you.....as are we!

LOVE!
