So, I am working in my office this morning and this is what I see when I turn around to check why everyone is so quiet. Found a dime yesterday and a penny this morning. Ty definitely gave his spot to the pup he picked out. I think I could put this picture to that poem. Bittersweet, I can say no more right now. I have a lump in my throat and a tail wagging madly in my heart. Lori and TY If you cannot tell Ty and Chan on top and Daryl and Chan on bottom.
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Oh WOW Lori! Just plain WOW!!! This is uncanny! I know this just took your breath away. But I also know Ty is just so pleased withnHIS selection! And clear k y Chandler is too!!
You can really see what a big guy Ty is and whata little guy Daryl is (relatively speaking)!
I love how Daryl somehow just "knows" this is his forever home. He certainly has been very comfortable since the first moment he arrived.
And Ty is sending DIMES now??? Yet another sign...big one!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Sally, yes, he has sent both. I have more pennies than dimes, but he sends both.

Awwwww. I think I would definitely be bawling at this point, the side-by-side photos are so touching. Ty is proud of his new protoge.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Ok, I'm even getting teary eyed over here. That poem gets me every time and seeing that picture is just what that poem means. It is beautiful. You did good TY!!!!!!!!!

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

It makes me think about how the universe doesn't seem to like voids, and somehow it finds a way to fill them. I hope Daryl is filling just a bit of the void in your heart that Ty left.

Yep, Ty is showing Daryl the ropes for sure. He cleared a 4 ft. Gate today. I about had a heart attack. Then he ran through the dog fence. I later figured out his collar was not working. It is now!!!!! he slept on Ty's chair in our bedroom last night. A friend of my husband's that had not been here for awhile did not even realize that Daryl was Daryl and not Ty. I guess he forgot how large Ty was. I will give him the benefit of the doubt as Daryl is a 3 legged black lab. The similarities are almost scary. Ty is whispering loudly.

......"Daryl was Daryl...." Bob Newhart would laugh at that one! That is kinda weird though thatnthe friend didn't realize Daryl was Daryl and not Ty..who is, of course, Ty!!!

This is such a wonderful photo. Ty is taking care of you and Chan! The photos shown above together is sooo special. Ty is definitely guiding Daryl and showing him the ropes! You have such a special heart that Ty knows to give a rescue tri-paw a forever home. Love ya!

These are such wonderful pictures of Ty and Daryl (and Chan of course). It just left me speechless in how they are mirror images (except for the size difference). If you had any doubts remaining if this was the right thing to do I think Ty just showed you through Daryl how pleased he is.
