Hi everyone
Well, it has been one week of metronomic chemo for my beautiful girl now. So far she doesn't seem to be showing any side effects from the drugs or the cancer. Perhaps she is being a little picky about her food and I wonder if her smell or taste has been affected. She is still eating enough when I present the right dishes so it might just be her Street Princess gene kicking in
I had a photographer friend come on Saturday to capture a few shots. Actually, there were a lot of shots but I thought I would share a few here. I even snuck one of her sister, Pirate, in. She is about to celebrate her fourth-year adoption. I found her on the street as the tiniest kitten with the most horrific eye infection. The same Istanbul street Three Paw lived on so I am sure they are kindreds even if they don't know it.
Thank you again to all of you for your love and support. I am pretty lonely here in Italy and I don't really have people here ( apart from photographer friend) who really understand. Most of the people I know here ( and it isn't very many) see animals as functional things rather than family members. In truth, I only moved here because I wanted to give Three Paw a retirement amongst the trees. It hasn't been a good move for me ( financially or emotionally) but for her it has been magic and this is what I wanted most of all.

Three Paw and Pirate, I think you are two of the luckiest kitty’s in Italy! We would all love to be there to romp in your woods with you, but please imagine that we are there giving lots of cuddles and chin scratches and ear rubs, but especially for Mama who needs a massive hug and reassurance that the universe will pay back tenfold for all the love she has given you! 
Absalutely fantastic news that there are no obvious side effects to the metronomic chemo! Good strong girl Three Paw! Don’t get too picky over your food darling, Mums doing the best job evah of taking care of you! Enjoy your special treatment Princess!

Glad to hear Three Paw is doing so well! I would think the drugs would effect her senses. I don’t know but reasonable to think they would.
Street Princess showing her stuff or not bring in all the goodies. You can warm foods, that can help, I don’t know if you feed her any Fishy foods? Those worked great for Purrkins in recovery. Something I do not normally feed him. Chicken and Herring,
Tuna & Salmon the boy could live on if I let him. Point being smelly foods do help when they get fussy eating. The smellier it is the more likely you will stimulate her senses.
I’m sorry your move hasn’t been a good one for you. The few people you have met, that is unbelievably sad for them! That is their loss they are missing out. I have a vey hard time understanding people like that & don’t wish to understand them. Like a piece of their soul is missing!?
You always have us, your never alone and we all understand and love our animals as our fur children !
You are giving Three Paw & Pirate a retirement amongst the trees 🌲🌳and a beautiful one! Watch their magic & love and soak it all in! The rest will come I have no doubt It will come! You do know you are their Melek ?! Just in case you needed a reminder you ARE!

I lost my Three Paw. She died. I am unable to write much in these days because my grief is so immense and the chasm in my life without her is so incredibly deep. I will write something more when I can find the words. I hope though to find a way through so Three Paw can remain an inspiration to those afraid to amputate and I hope I will become strong enough to support those who face this choice. There were six years between her cancers and she did most of that on the streets. She was a survivor of the highest odds. She was my soul mate from the moment we met and my life will forever be shaped by her and somehow incomplete as well.

Omg I am so very sorry. (((((((HUGS))))))))) you know that you gave Three Paw the best ending to her life and she loves you as much as you love her. She is an amazing inspiration to see what a fighter she was, and you gave her a chance that nobody else would. I know that you knew your time together was limited, but that does not make the pain any less. I have not watched your link, I am at work and I am the front lines here, I know I am going to cry. Huckleberry and I are so very proud to have been able to share a page with your beautiful soul kitty.

So very, cery, very sorry to hear that Three Paw neededto head to the Rai bow Bridge. I know this was hard to write and it breaks our hearts to hear. We all fell in love with this brave little kitty.
The grief will be immense for awhile and the void will seem unbearable. Being such an attentive caregiver the past several months and now not having that "routine" adds another layer of sadness to your deep despair.
Yet, through our tears, we celebrate that we had the privilege to travel side by side with one of THE most remarkable kitties we've ever known! We've also had the privilege to meet one of the most devotion and loving humans a kitty could ever have!
Your commitment to doing anything possible to give your sweet Three Paw the best life ever knows no limits! I just got caught up on the previous photos, plus the photos and video today. You have a beautiful family album that shows a very happy kitty...and a very loved kitty. Such treasures.

Three Paw had your name on ner heart the day she was vorn....as did you jave hers. The bond of Soul mates can NEVER be broken. We all loved your girl so much, she was such a huge inspawration, as well as you. Together, you opened our eyes, minds and hearts to the possibilities a two legged kitty, something I'm sure that most of would never have considered before. To see her do so well on two legs is something none of us will ever forget and her story will always be such a big part of this community. No doubt that newcomers will find her story when they need hope more than anything else, and Three Paw's spirit will be there to comfort their hearts and walk them though the journey.
Our community is so saddened by her loss. Take your time grieving and know that we understand completely the sadness that you feel. If you want to talk or share more stories about her, we are ready when you are OK?

It is three weeks and eight hours now since I walked with her to the edge of the bridge. In many ways it feels like no time has passed and in other ways another lifetime ago. I find my days difficult to structure because she really was the framework on which my life hung, I find myself not really wanting to see people because it hurts more somehow. Yesterday though, I spoke to her Istanbul daddy. He was the one who watched out for her on the street for all those years. He told me when she had kittens, she kept them at the bottom of a hill and every day she would carry them all up to his window for food and then carry them all home again. he said he has looked after over 50 cats but for him she was his special one and that it had been so hard to see her leave the street but he was so grateful that I was able to give her a garden for her last years. he said he couldn't imagine how beautiful that must have been for her and that despite all her hardships she had the very best life she could.
I know all of that makes sense..but I just want her back.
Thank you for all your kind messages they really mean so much to me. I have been moved by how many people were touched by three paw. A couple friends told me that it was because of her that they adopted a street cat themselves. Her old oncologist mailed me to say that she was what made him love being a vet and that now she was gone a part of him had gone too..but he wanted to thank us for making him a better vet,

You BOTH changed lives 
What you did was so selfless, and you gave that little girl a chance to spend her last days loved. She showed us all so much also! She was a very special girl, no doubt she is watching you from above. I know losing her is a great loss, please be comforted in knowing you gave her a life that nobody else could. Before she crossed over she knew the true meaning of being loved. So many never get that. It will take a lot of time to get over such a loss. In time it will start to get a little easier but you know she has a piece of your heart that will belong to no one else. Thank you for sharing your pictures, I cannot see them here at work but I will be looking at them when I get home. It was an honor for Huckleberry to share a page with such a special girl!

It is going to take you a lifetime to remove yourself from the loss of your soulmate! Three Paw chose you for a very special reason... He knew you would be strong enough to deal with what was coming up in his very precious life! You moved him to a little piece of heaven on earth and he gave you a piece of himself. You new it wasn’t his time to go and when the decision to make Three Paw A Superstar Bipawd, you both rocked it! You both showed the world that nothing is impawsible! You just have to have the fight, the will & the spirit! We find out the reasons why later! I hope my hugs reach you! We all know that you are feeling very lost right now. We understand the deep ache in your heart. Please know that we will be here if you need a shoulder to lean on.

They speak to how very, very happy Three Paw was and how very, very loved she was...And is. We all fell in love with her and were in awe of the loving UNBREAKABLE bond you two shard.
