Hi, Spirit Jerry here. Did you know that I started out my life as a throwaway dog?
Yep, someone took me and shoved me in a box, took me to an animal shelter . . . and left me there. I hate to think what would have happened if my people hadn’t have come along three months after I arrived, but I can guess . . .
Did you know that each year, anywhere from 8 to 12 million shelter animals share my exact same story. People dump them off, and then the animal shelters are supposed to house, feed and help these helpless kids find a home on a shoestring budget.
For dogs and cats who are labeled “special needs,” meeting up with god people like you is even harder. The loss of an eye, a limb or an illness scares away most potential pet pawrents. When it comes to Tripawds like us, animal rescue folks must work even harder to get the word out and help find families with big hearts. This is why I would love it if you voted every day in the Pets Add Life Shelter Showdown Contest!
The good people at Pets Add Life (PAL) are giving away a total of $25,000 to three lucky shelter rescue organizations!
Help Your Favorite Animal Shelter, Save More Lives
Please join me in this great contest just for Pet Finder shelters in the U.S. From today through October 4th, you can help your favorite animal shelter win a shot at the grand prize of $15,000, of which $10,000 will go toward a community-wide adoption event to celebrate PAL’s “Get a Pal For Your Pet Day” on November 19. The grand prize winning shelter will also get $5,000 cash!
Second and third place animal shelter winners will receive $5,000 donations from PAL.
Vote Every Day
You can vote once every 24 hours until October 4th. This is really timely because the 4th happens to be my favorite day, the Feast of Saint Francis!
Winners will be announced the week of October 7th.
Tweet it out, tell a friend, vote every day and help your local animal rescue angels save even more lives!
