Thanks for asking! We'll be gathering in the Pecan Grove picnic area of Zilker Park. It's located just east of the playscape to the left as you enter the park from Barton Springs Road. We just posted details with a map here. Can't wait to see y'all there!

Where at Zilker Park will the home base for the cookout be located? Zilker Park is a big park.

I found out about it through an acquaintance of mine. Becky who owns Cassidy (she has her video pulling one of Becky's other dogs on the 2 dogs 2000 miles site) the tripawd. I met her at the school where I work and she brings her dogs to "read" with the struggling readers on our campus. She and I got to talking and she now always makes sure she comes by to see me before leaving campus.

She knew I would be particularly interested in this walk because our Rottie, Rocky, now 7 was diagnosed with osteosarcoma last July. He endured the amputation surgery, 4 rounds of chemo, and to date is cancer free! His last x-rays in December were ALL CLEAR! Hoping his next set in April are too. We are planning to come to the cookout Saturday. Hope to see you there. Let me know about where in Zilker we will find everyone.
